2014+ Suspension Lifts

Recommended Posts

Honestly, it came down to finances. My first pick was the BDS kit but I found myself short of cash and was bound and determined not to finance this mod! The shop I worked with recommended the Zone as it was still a good quality product and would save me the money I needed. Zone and BDS are the same company but the BDS has the no questions warranty.

So far I love it. I was worried a little about the ride quality, but it is just as good as my factory ride. Hopefully it will hold up to some abuse as well. Time will tell. All told I was able to save almost a thousand by changing the lift and my tire choice.

Thank you for the quick reply. I'm really intrigued now. What motor and rear end ratio do you have in your truck? How's the mileage?

I have the 3:42 rear end. It's early to joe for sure but it looks like I have gone down about 2mpg or so. I've only driven about 150 miles so far though. I have the 5.3. A few things I have been worried about with going to a six inch and 35's were power and the ride. The power has been fine. Those 35's can still spin off the line if I punch it (I had to check). Like I said, no problems with the ride at all. So far I have been very happy overall with my decision.

"Say" for sure

anyone have the rough country 2.5 lift with the stock tires and wheels (20")? how does it look? I want to keep my rake the same and add the 2.5 to it and keep everything else..the guy at rc said leave out the 1/2 spacer off the front to maintain rake...thx

I have the 2.5" RC lift with stock wheels and slightly bigger tires, went with 275/60R20 instead of the stock 275/55R20, I have some pictures here in post #198, I might replace the 2" block in the back with 2.5" to gain some rake.

Stock block measures 1.25". Rough country block measures 2.25". So if u want a bit of rake do a 3" block.

Has anyone put the 4in bds lift on their truck? Can you use your stock rim 18s btw, and does it make the front tires track wider than the back?

The 5" rough country will keep your factory track width and also be able to run factory rims. It drops the diff a full 5" to maintain factory like ride/angles. I'll be ordering mine as soon as I get the cash.

Are there any good 4 inch lifts? I was looking into the Fabtech budget 4in. Any information on this one? Good? Bad?

Or would the RCX 3.5 be better? Kinda leaning towards the 3.5

Neither of those are any good. They are a stretched out leveling kit. Your ride quality will suffer and could cause premature front end problems like ball joints, cv axle... Not saying they are a terrible kit, I'd just look into something with a full drop.
