Question
Larry227
I have a 2006 Silverado vin 1GCEK19V36Z172127 and I would like to know if it uses Passlock 1 or Passlock 2.
I installed an aftermarket remote starter and at the point of hooking up and programming the Xpresskit PLJX bypass module. I just want to make sure I tap into the right wires coming from the ignition switch.
I found small harness with a blue and black wire in an orange sleeve. I want to assume the blue wire is the one I want for the resistor value but we all know what happens when one assumes something..
Also it states to hook a wire to the ground in the passlock harness. Would that be the black that's in the orange sleeve with the blue wire? Or am I totally off base here.
If you want to see the instructions I'm trying to follow you can download the manual here http://xpresskit.com/DocumentDownload.aspx?documentid=7073&productid=240&firmwareid=1424
I'm at the point where the remote start will crank it so I'm pretty sure that part is hooked up right.
Any help will be appreciated.
