3"BL on 2011 sierra extended cab

Recommended Posts

well after being told at my local tire swapper (VIP, soon to be Oreilly auto parts) told me at 9:00 this morning they couldnt swap my 285 70 17s for my new 305 70 17s because its a liability to them, i had to go home and remove my wheels and tires and head back with my buddy (4" budget lift truck). he had an alignment and dismount, mount and balance scheduled.

anyways long story short, dismounting, 8 tires, mounting and balancing 8 tires, and 1 alignment took just over 3 hours.

I have been skeptical with my 305's and figured they were going ot rub hard with my RCX 3.5" lift, and 3" zone BL. they do not rub hard at all. the touch a little on the inner fender by the mud flap, and they touch on the front part of the inner fender. im talking just barely. im glad i didnt go with a 315.

The nitto terra grapplers ride so much smoother than my cooper discoverer ATP's.

one final note, has anyone else ever used equal in their tires? thats what the shop opted to use instead of heaping sticky weights on the insides of my wheels (like they did with my 285s(looked like $#!T))

I will post pictures once the rain stops and i get a chance to clean up the ol' girl

Yea I didn't know. It just screwed up my day. My dc2s are 9" wide. On the same token they had a 35*12.5-17 nittos mud grappler at they front counter. They said if I came in With 305s they would have done it. So Idk...

you didnt understand what i was trying to say? or the tire place didnt make any sense?

The tire swap screwed up my day. their reasoning for not installing my 305's was because they werent original tire sizes. They have 35" mud grapplers at the front counter. they said if i showed up

with 305's on the truck, they would have done the install.

they probably will not get my business again...
