so everytime someone asks about going with a 4" lift i suggest an 1.5 BL and a 2.5" leveling kit. so my buddy wanted some lift without breaking the bank. i talked him into spending $210 on 4" of lift. the body lift and leveling kit took all day. despite the front bumper being a bear, and a stripped body mount bolt, the install went well.

here is a before picture

Looks good. I did the same 2.5" + 1.5" combo and love it. Also... wash the **** thing

definately go for the 2.5" lift, we also installed the leveling kit without removing the ball joint, or sway bar end link. we just use some long bars, and a bottle jack while the truck was jacked up on jack stands. couldnt believe it worked. the spacer went on top of the strut

that is the zone BL, we still have to relocate the rear bumper, but im going to do it the way the RC directions say instead of new bumper brackets

I used zone brackets but followed performance acc write up for the mod to use the spare tire winch

about the spare tire mod, when i did my 3" BL, with 285 70 17's soon to be 305 70 17's i removed my spare tire, and i also removed the plastic tube for the spare. my buddy will probably do the same, and with only 1.5" of BL, i dont think there is anything that needs to be done (there wasnt with my 1.25" BL. he is going to get his tires on this weekend, more pictures to come

Any updated pictures with 285/70-17? I am looking to do exactly this but am hung up on 1.5" body or 3".

My concern is the larger tires will fill out the wheel well too much with the 1.5". But I will be running stock tires for a while (245s) and that may look too goofy (your pictures in original post shows stock tires with 2.5+1.5 which imo doesn't look too bad)

Also I'm worried about spare tire with 3" ....
