Tranny/Rear End Clunk

Recommended Posts

So I've noticed this for awhile and dont some reading that it actually has a TSB about it. When I start to slow down and take my foot off the gas before it comes to a complete stop the rear end/tranny feels as if it doesn't disengage completely and when it does it feels like a lug forward almost as if someone is rear-ending me softly. Now I bought my truck used from a dealership with an extended warranty through them. Is this something that should be covered under the TSB regardless of my warranty or should I be taking this up with the original dealership I bought the truck at, or even something I can fix myself.

Btw this is a 2009 5.3l crew cab 1500

Thanks for the insight!

lmao...thanks for the laugh...did realized I posted it like that...never got to getting this taken care of today...yet swapped out both front/rear diff fluids, transfer case fluid, powersteering, and brake fluids both flushed, cleaned my maf, changed the air filter, and did the front brakes...it was a busy day!

It was...my wife was littler perturbed as last saturday I did all the landscaping and this saturday I worked on my truck a majority of the day...yet its my only time to get stuff done as I work weekdays from 430am-630pm :-/ and sundays are paperwork days and time to relax and catch up on sleep! All I have left to do is tackled this driveshaft greasing and possibly the rear drum brakes, but I'm a little nervous as I hate working on drums so I might just bite the bullet and let the dealership bend me over for the $500. I'm taking my baby in for a full tranny fluid changeover too so I might as well just let them deal with it.
