installing 3" BL and

Recommended Posts

So im finally upgrading my 1.25" BL with zones 3" body lift. I will go from 4.75" of lift to 6.5" of lift. which i will save the 1.25" BL and sell it, $80 OTD from me to you and its yours. Anyways when i did my 1.25" BL I wasnt able to do the emergency brake as the directions stated, and i know on the 3" BL i have to do what it says or it will not work, so does anyone have any pictures on hor to remove the indents with a punch, or grinder?

im also replacing my 285, 70 17 cooper Discoverer ATP's with some Nitto Terra grapplers 305 70 17. hoping they dont rub too much. pictures to follow. I hope someone has some help for me.

I am also going to be doing my much suggested 4" lift for a buddy of mine, 2.5" leveling kit, and zone 1.5" BL. pictures to follow. he will be ending up with my 285's and hopefully some decent wheels.

Thanks for any replies

anyone that has done a 3" BL please chime in for possible problems like, shift linkage for transmission, lengthen of fuel filler hose, 4x4 transfer case modifcations or something that the directions from zone does not cover

I have turn dial 4x4 so no linkage.( 2011 ccsb) all in all it was very easy. Most of my time was spent playing with the front bumper. It gave me a bit of a fit. Also dont use zones way of drilling hole in your bumper for your spare. Use rhe performance acc directions for that part

When I did it I pulled the parking brake cable tight and put vice grips on to clamp it and keep slack in it. Then just took a punch to the connecters and out it came

Zone has pretty good instructions on how to do it

thanks for the replies, im getting anxious to install this lift. i figured my overall ride height will be approximately 2.5" higher all around. I do know one thing, my next truck is going to have a "real" suspension lift.

So I got my 305 70 17's in the mail today. I wasnt 100% sold on the Nitto tire design, and all the pictures I have seen online the tread pattern looks small, and not really aggressive. However in person these tires are pretty sweet. Im hoping my 3" BL shows up this weekend so i can throw that under my sierra. I will post some before and after pictures, hopefully everything goes smoothly.

I really like my Cooper Discoverer ATP's but after being told numerous "times my tires look small" im hoping these 34"x12.5"-17's make it look jacked up. I will definately sit higher than a 2500 HD(stock or cranked torsion bars)
