Bugdefector and vent visors

Recommended Posts

For vent visors, get the Weathertech ones. They fit in the window and no tape. You can take them on and off for cleaning.

As for bug deflectors, not sure which is best. I think it is mostly preference or looks. I have a Driver Design. It feels a little heavier than others.

I have the AutoVentshade vent visors (only the front windows, don't really care for the ones that go on the ext cab windows, plus they are hardly ever open) that stick on with 3M tape.  I've been happy with them, and also put a set on my '91 when I had it.

I also have the AutoVentshade Bugflector II bug shield, and like it alot.  VERY easy to install.  No drilling, just pop in some plastic inserts into some square holes already in the bottom of the hood, then secure bugshield with screws that go into those inserts.

I used to have a Lund Avenger bugshield a while back, but didn't really like it.  It was a lower profile design.  Another very easy install.  Installs just like the AutoVentshade.

I have a stainless steel Lund interceptor bug deflector looks great with the dark coloured trucks.  Paid a little more but it looks good.  Not many trucks around with stainless steel bug deflectors makes the truck stand out.  If I put on vent visors on I would like to get them painted to match the truck.
