I've been getting the itch to do a 2 or 3" lift in my '03 Z71. What i am wondering is what kits are pretty good for the money(don't want to spend top dollar if i can avoid it :) ) and with the truck having 150k miles(mostly highway and stock shocks feel good still) should i just swap the shocks out too while i'm at it or just keep the stockers until they start going bad? I don't want to spend a fortune but i do know it can add up real quick if you want the best. Tires on the truck are stock 16's with 275 tires. I'm looking to possibly put on '08 Z71 wheels and maybe 285's but that's not certain yet. Any ideas on kits or brands would be appreciated. I saw alot of people with Rough Country and i'm just not sure as to what quality they are and how well they ride being a little cheaper than the rest. Appreciate the help ;) ~Cole~

I've been looking at kits from the RC kit with N2.0 nitro shocks to the Bilstein shock lift kit as well. I just don't know what would be the best bang for the buck. The RC kit is alot less but i'm not sure how sh!tty the shocks will be

I did a 2.5" leveling kit with RC keys and added a 1.5" body lift from zone offroad. Looks great with 305s imo. See sig for pic

i ordered a Rough Country kit. Brings the front up 2" and the rear 3" so it won't be completely level but it'll raise it a big and still have some of the rake like stock. I wasn't sure what to think about the RC N2.0 shocks but after reading some reviews they sound like they are pretty nice. My stock shocks look pretty shot(don't feel bad yet but they look to be pretty rough). Got the boots as well to keep debris out of the shock as well

That kit only raises the rear 1". Your truck has 2" blocks in the rear and the kit comes with 3" blocks

Personally, I went with an AAL spring in the rear. It gave me an extra 2.5" of lift in the rear, and it helps with towing sag. Even with my heavy rear bumper/tire carrier and a 35" tire, a camper shell, my 5x10 utility trailer loaded with my golf cart, and about 6 bags of deer corn, the truck still has a very slight rake.

Your right i just read that. I'm trying to find out from RC how long the U-Bolts are and see if i have enough to get 4" blocks in the rear with the bolts they send :) I misread the desciption. This is what the truck will look with this kit as it is when you buy it :)

i called them and they are just sending me the shocks and i'm putting 4" blocks rear(raising it 2" total) and 3" keys up front to level it out and give it a full 2" overall. The keys are actually 3.5" keys that i'll just turn up about 2.75" or so so it still has a little rake to it and doesn't ride so much stiffer from the keys being cranked all the way up :) They told me with the shocks i'm getting(N2.0's) i'll be fine without stretching the shocks at all with the rear block and front key being an inch overall higher than their whole leveling kit normally is. I'm pretty stoked to get this in :)

You might want to rethink that much lift in the front. Usually, anything over 2" will really wear your front end parts, and if you go to high, it could start to act funny while driving.
