Which are the best brands of level kits?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for some feedback on what the best brands of level kits are. I currently have a 1.5" Ready Lift kit on my truck. I'd like to go to a 2" kit in the front and 1" bigger blocks in the rear. I'm noticing a lot of companies aren't making 2" kits anymore. Ready makes a 2.25" and I'm seeing other companies that are making 2.5" kits. I don't want to go that high in the front in fear of my tires looking to small.

Also, I've heard of some kits not giving you the true amount of lift as it should. I'd hate to go to a 2" kit from another company and not gain what I should in height.

My Ready Lift kit has been great, but I'm interested in what you guys think are the best brands and then I'll research it and see if the recommended companies make a 2" kit. Thanks.

In my experiance leveling kit brand really doesn't matter. A spacer is a spacer regardless. I went with rough country since it was the best price I could find at the time and its been just fine for me

I agree, a spacer is a spacer. That said, I got mine last week from Ebay - 2" lift. Seller's name is Summit Engineering. Paid $39.99 with shipping included. They are solid aluminum blocks, not plastic. I put them on this past Saturday morning and had a local garage re-align my truck. The alignment only cost $35. So, the whole job cost me $75 and the truck looks much better. Good luck!

I really like m 2.25" ready lift. Stock sized tires don't look terribly small underneath it. My sig shows my truck with a level and 3" blocks replacing the stock blocks in the back.

agreed the stock tires dont look small under just a 2 and a half inch leveling kit.

and i wouldnt worry about the brand of leveling kit, like everyone else said a spacer is a spacer

I think I'm wanting to go to a 2" kit in the front and not the 2.25". If I go with the 2" in the front and 1" bigger blocks in the rear, I'll gain 1/2" of rake from what I have now. Suspension Maxx has a 2" kit that comes with 2 extra 1/4" spacers that will allow you to go to 2.5" in the future. I think I am going to go that route and just install the 2" for now with the 1" bigger rear blocks. Anyone have any experience with Suspension Maxx level kits? Thanks.

Check out Fat Bob's garage. They have an assortment of spacers and blocks. I've been very happy with Zone Offroad, FWIW.

^this. Both excellent websites. I've had experiance with both

I have been inside fat bob's. Nice selection. Very helpful as well. I had the pleasure of speaking with them in person.

I ordered from Ready Lift yesterday. I've had good experiences with them in the past. Ordered the 2.25" level kit and the 3" rear blocks. Ended up switching the rear blocks to the 2.25". Going up 1.75" in the rear with the 3" blocks just seemed too high. I checked Fat Bob's site after I had already placed my order. Didn't know of that one, so thanks for the tip. Will post pics after new kits are installed.

have you had any problems with the summit engineering level? also how much gas mileage did you lose?

So far, so good. No issues at all. I can't speak to gas mileage since I replaced my tires within a couple weeks of installing the blocks. I didn't notice any significant change in mileage during the couple of weeks between just the lift and new tires but the new tires I bought (General Grabber II's) killed my mileage. Now, I'm getting around 15 mpg but I have the Range module that shuts off the AFM, too.
