Yea.. Like I said the guy has one in an 86 or 87 stlye truck And he said it was easier then he thought,

So putting it into a truck that came with that motor shouldnt be so tough especially with the allison already there. Im pretty sure the one I won comes with the ecm/pcm and tcm.. Even the rear because its an 8.1 truck has the 11.5 ring gear.

The Transynd is what you want. Had a '07 Allison 6 spd & believed a oil salesman that their stuff was as good. It wasn't & the trans shifted weird until I flushed it out & replaced with Transynd again. Temps stayed cooler as well.

Fwiw, another guy I know had a 07 Dodge 3500 Cummins & used Amsoil exclusively in everything. The only thing it did not work in was the trans in that truck & went back with the factory recommended stuff.

My point being that I always thought approved this or that was probably a buy in sort of deal. With the trans fluid it was not the case.

I've said this once, I've said it a thousand Times, and I'll Say it a Thousand more: Use ATF+4 AND ONLY ATF+4 in a Chrysler Transmission; Anything else will cause the Transmission to not work right (or in Extreme Cases, completely destroy the Clutches and Solenoid Pack!)

Yea ill check it out. Is that thru allison?

There was a local commercial truck dealer who I got both the Castrol Transynd & the red spin on filters from. Filters were like $8 & right at $20 per gal. on the fluid. Pretty sure I checked with GM & they were higher, but do not remember the differences now. I owned that truck from 2007-2011, so prices may have changed as well.
