I know it didn't feel very cold at all during any of the drive home tonight. I guess I'll get some freon with dye in it. If it gets colder after adding that then I guess there's a leak. My bet is it's the condensor.

I'm also wondering if maybe the light bar behind the grille is affecting it? I haven't heard anyone else complain about it yet though.

Well I just a put a can and some dye in mine and it started getting cool. I turned it off and heard it hissing, hoping just a o ring. Not wasting any more freon, think I'll take it to a shop. 220k miles, that system probably needs a pro cleaning and check up.

Oddly not seeing any of the dye.

Edit:just checked again and the hissing area has a VERY faint hue around an o ring/line joint. But it's so faint it could be dust, but the adjacent line doesn't have the same hue.

Still thinking I'll take it to a pro. AC system on a middle aged car could be a rabbit hole.

That's why I replaced everything on mine so I didn't have any issues. I guess I wasn't thinking at the time that I should have bought a new condensor since it probably has the original 230k miles on it.

So the truck is weird. It was a 2015 hold over now used as a courtesy vehicle with the 6.2/8 speed/3.42 max tow. Everything but the sunroof and bedliner.

How does the 6.2 compare to your 6.0?

And that is weird...sounds like a loaded truck.

What's a holdover?

Ummm. It felt like shit to drive my 6.0 home tonight, but the stock power of my 6.0 is about that of a current 5.3 at 345/385. And a holdover by my usage is a leftover that wasnt sold. First sold date on registration was may 2016. So the dealer ate the cost of the truck instead of giving incentives. So now it is a courtesy loaner. Edited by Chris

Wish I'd have gone with the LQ9 now or atleast a cam in my current 5.3L. I just didn't have the money at the time.

and?? what did you think?

Fun, it was a 2wd crew cab std bed. Not my cup of tea, would consider it if i were in the market though. The cocoa dune interior definitely looks better in person.

Here is one of those stories that is "stranger than fiction".

Some family members went into retirement and some started looking into house flipping. A few month ago they finally got one at a repo sheriffs auction that they liked ..... happened to meet the previous owner moving out his last things and heard the story of how he lost the house. Marriage went south, he spent every penny to get custody of his kid. Said the guy was nice but seemed like he needed some hope, seemed a little bleak. Well, a month or so later my grandma is in the hospital, and just got worse, dying a few weeks later. They arrange the funeral aggrangements, etc. In some spare time they are checking up on the new purchase, and find a lot of things the guy left behinds, including a huge amount of wedding pictures. A few days later, The viewing time at the funeral home had two going on at the same time. My family members see the picture of the other body and it looks familiar, they see the name:

That guy who owned the house, which was in a adjacent town, was hit and killed by a car, his viewing was the same time and place and funeral home.

Spooky.

Traded in my PS4 today at Gamestop for an Xbox One Elite. They were offering a good deal, and the PS4 hasn't really impressed me so I figured I'd trade it. Now I have two X1's which will come in handy when the Fiancé and I get our own place soon.
