Spent my day at a place called South Hills School of Business and Technology. I took a tour, admissions test, and talked to them about financial aid. I did great on the test, and as a result I was accepted. Now I just have to pick a campus and enroll.

I'll be going for Information Technology paid for by the Government through the Trade Act since I lost my job.

Ugh, just wasted a 40 miles round trip in "idiot traffic" to the hospital. So annoyed right now.

And I saw a police officer who thought it was a good idea to drive an unmarked car through a red light a minute late through busy intersection of 11 lanes without a siren. Very surprised he made it. If I had been a little sooner I might have hit him, couldn't see him running the light with a wall of taller traffic blocking the view, luckily I had decided to wait until an extra car passed before leaving my stationary lane for one that was empty.

Body shop waiting on approval from my insurance company to start on my truck. Yup, been sitting there almost 3 weeks and not a single thing done. So called insurance today. My agent said it's over 14k in damage and may take upwards of 2 months. That's insane. I'm not paying for a rental for that long. He said he's gonna review it though and see what route they'll take. In all honesty it would be a waste to total the truck out due to its worth, but the downtime is gonna kill me. If they total it out guess I gotta start from scratch. I'll be sure to take off what I can though

I'm the only one in the world that needs to plug my lawn mower tires. I swear this crap just falls out of the sky, and ends up in my lawn somewhere ...

Looks like a foot to an old chair or table. Made of metal, so can't be of this century. Might have been in the edge of a brush pile I lit up a few days back.

Back When they were building houses around mine, my BMW's Yokohama's were brutalized. I think every tire was plugged at least twice. Edited by SnakeEyes

That seems to happen to me ... but only right after I buy new tires ... :D

You have full coverage.... They shouldn't take that long, your company sounds like they suck. I'm surprised they aren't giving you a rental, was than an exclusion in your policy(I think it's an option on your on car, check to see if you have it)? Have you called your agent? Threaten to take your business elsewhere if you have(and you are a good customer), that might light a fire under their butt. Edited by SnakeEyes

I have full coverage and per the policy they cover up to 1k in rental costs. It's under a commercial policy. I've had a rental for 2 weeks today and that already hit the 1k mark. So either they pay to extend it or idk what I'll do. We switched from Nationwide a few years back cause they kept raising our rates for no reason, never had any claims. Now we have some small time insurance company and its proving to not be to our advantage lol

They said every panel of the truck had damage to it. I personally can't recall having damage to any of the doors but I'm not an expert so I'll leave it to the pros

Those are some serious lawn mower wheels/tires!

Just "Lee press-on" wheel covers, lol. Did it as a joke, but it ended up looking pretty good, so I kept them. :D

The mower is sweet though. I've been wanting a zero-turn since I moved in here 13 years ago. Finally got one in '14. It's a Husqvarna M-ZT 52 - mows at 10mph, lol. Has the commercial duty Hydro-Gear 3400 transmissions, & a Kawasaki 22HP twin. Gets the yard done quick. Got it off the internet in a crate for thousands less than the local dealers could even come close to.

1k for two weeks? A really nice rental I guess?

By the time they added tax, any other BS charges, and then my full coverage through them it came out to 2 weeks. Nothing fancy, just a f250 xlt crew cab with the 6.2L gas

Even with temperatures in the low 100's setting 2 on the ac is amazing! She sits in the shade all day at work or home which helps, and at startup I go to setting 4 for a minute or so before needing to turn it down so I don't get hypothermia.

And I used to think this interior was far from a quiet but now I'm starting to think it's not as bad as I made it out to be. I've been in pretty new cars lately with coworkers and they all had surprising amounts of road noise too, albeit in different ways. The cars have been a new Chevy equinox, Acura and lexus suvs, bmw i3, and an infinity g37.
