I'm back browsing this forum. I just test drove a 2016 Duramax Colorado and looking to get rid of my Runner. Now to see real life reviews on it. What a fun little truck. They tried to sell me the last 2015 Silverado though, I was tempted.

I like the Colorado better inside and out.

So you bought a brand that gave you a "piece of crap" and are thinking of replacing it with the same brand :???:

If I bought a Samsung TV and it crapped out in a year I wouldn't go buy another Samsung. If I bought a Dell laptop and it crapped out the day after the warranty ended, I wouldn't go buy another Dell.

Would you?

If not, why take the risk with a 30-60k object that loses 10% of its value in the first few seconds?

Cause Chevy makes a good truck iv owned lots of them and this one just so happens to be a lemon. My uncle and few friends have 14+ Chevy s and there nice trucks and no problems with any of them. Plus im not sure yet if I want to spend $50 000 right now but Wednesday morning @10am I get my loaner truck and its a 2016 Chevy LT Silverado I'm eager to get in it and Im thinking it might be hard not to just dump my problem child of a truck there and just buy brand new truck.

I can see that. My last three GM's went to crap suddenly and without warning a little over 100k miles.

Malibu: gasoline leak caused from a recall few years prior that unseated injector O rings and didn't specify to replace them

Intrigue: I loved the car, but had the usual W Body faulty climate control and the usual GM faulty DRL wiring. Then at 140k the rear end would slide out on gradual highway curves. Car still rode great. Then it practically overnight the Shortstar started consuming 1qt of oil every 1k miles with no smell or smoke.(avg for those was 1 at per 5k)

So I gave up on their cars. Still loved the trucks, also I git that Tahoe.

Over the three years I had it:

The drivers seat back power track managed to tear itself apart.

The passenger seat heater failed

The power second row would get stuck halfway 75% of the time

The rear parking sensors worked randomly

The dash cracked

A brand new OEM $400(msrp) shock failed within 30 days

Had a random "service 4 wheel drive light" TSB that said the sensor corroded when it got wet or dirty. Yes, a sensor for 4X4 system that wasn't supposed to get dirty or wet that was located around the wheels.

And a nitpick:

It had the bonehead firmware that shut off the rear screen if it was on the prior drive. GM said this was normal, but you could fix it for a few hundred dollar update that came out a year or two later in New models because everyone was complaining about it

4170f5e95e5b994afc23bc4b702aef16.jpg I think I decided not to buy new and iv decided to check out there premium used trucks and this is what I found it would be perfect to pull my trailer and as a daily driver. I had the exact same truck once but it was a 08 Chevy instead of GMC and I kicked my self in the ass from day I traded it in so I'm looking at this truck witch is basically its twin younger brother. They tried talking me into a few 16s but dam I just don't want to spend $70 000 on a dam pickup.

That is a sharp truck! I would definitely consider that over a new one if you used to have one similar before. If you like the previous one that you had then I'm sure you would like this one.

Ya that 2008 2500HD 6.0 Chevy I has also was white and had 6spd and 373 gears and so does this one and that 08 was awesome and I didn't find it all that bad on fuel either and had tons of power and pulled like a diesel. But on other note I have less then two years owing on my 13 then no more payments but then again it's got a ton of issues and has left me stranded twice all in 51 000km
