You could sell it at a discount and recoup some of your money, or find another item to provide backup battery to.

I've never done this, so I don't know that its really a good idea, but you MIGHT also be able to daisy chain them. (Don't take this as any form of advice at all. This is sort of a "hold my beer and watch this" kind of idea..)

I have a buddy that says he'll buy it from me if I end up not wanting it. I now also have two older units that just need new batteries and they'll be good to go. Wonder how much longer the one from 2011 will go until it needs new batteries. That was on my main PC but I'll be putting that on my media pc and tv. I wonder if you could daisy chain them. Interesting. I know if you've got the know how and some patience you can get a deep cycle battery hooked up to them.

I need to make new keys because the one I have left is being rejected by the ignition, it locks up and won't permit forward movement. Today I had to wait about 10 minutes until I could start her up!

My dad has a spare which works perfectly so I know its my particular key.

Yeah, and you won't need much. And I also used a hammer.....but NOT like you would think. Just use it to lightly "tap" the key into the tumbler while you try to "start" the truck. Again, don't beat on it!

A tech told me that they get hung up sometimes and the WD-40 and LIGHT hammering knocks the crud loose.

I always tell people when they say they're looking at Dodge to look around at the other cars ont he road. Tell me how many older GMs you see, ok.. now tell me how many older Dodges..

That usually makes the point. You see a ton of GMs on the road, from the mid 60s all the way to 2015s, every day.. being driven anywhere and everywhere in this city.

old dodges? at the salvage yard.

Ya know this truck costs me a fortune in mods and things..

but to be honest, I'm having a lot of fun spending every spare penny.

My camaro wasn't all that er.. "interesting" because it didn't need anything. I couldn't find anything except power adders that I really felt would make it a better vehicle, and hell.. I mean I can only go the speed limit.. I didn't need power adders.

With the truck I have goals thousands of dollars from now for it, and I know what it'll look like if I get my way.. and that keeps me going.

I always did love those rims. Ashen grey+black ZL1 rims is a really good look.

I just didn't want to deal with the larger more expensive tires on my daily driver camaro.

I also really liked the paint color LED side marker lenses that guy was making, but.. they were just too expensive for me for such a small change.

I couldn't even line up a window tint job. There's only 1 shop on this side of the city that uses "the best stuff" (cos my camaro would ONLY get the best stuff.. or no stuff.) and he was always busy.. so I never got to do it.

Maybe once I pay the truck off I can buy another 5th gen or something and make it a fun car instead of my daily driver. DDs just take too much abuse. I was so stressed out when I got a dent in my door I was mad for several days, and then every day after I had this bump of shame on the door every time I looked at it.
