we lived in a half acre neighborhood with a lot of trees.

Yea, I agree with the daylight "rule." I can generally drown out the noise with music or something during the day for most things. (I've got a guy behind me that seems to not understand that mashing his gas pedal makes the car rev EVERY TIME. I think maybe he forgets after the rpms fall what the gas pedal does, so he has to do it again)

These guys were a nightmare. Late 20s, unemployed, yet somehow afforded to own homes and lots of toys including lifted up toyota 4runners, jeeps, jetskis and at LEAST 4 atvs, 2 big single seat 4wd types and a red 2wd and a white 2wd.

The red 2wd didn't have a muffler, just a pipe that came off the engine and flared out at the end. He had a lot of problems with it. I've heard that short exhaust like that over a long time can cause a problem with the valves cooling off too fast when you're done riding?

At any rate the first time I heard it I genuinely thought someone had a dragster in my neighborhood. I asked them nicely to stop, then rudely, then called the cops, none of it helped.

They would shoot guns on their property too. Now people out here do that but we have a lot of farms around here, so as long as I dont find a slug in my yard I dont care (or get hit buy one ) But we had half acre lots in that last neighborhood and they would shoot 22s and larger just about every weekend when the weather was nice. They'd stand on their back deck playing some kind of music that was country..ish.. but I'd never heard it before, drinking beer and shooting at a straw target.

I mean I reckon I'm a litltle bit of a "redneck" but.. nothin like these guys were. I'm so glad I dont live there anymore. I sold that house in April and then in July I bought this one. We got some 'necks behind us and a character in a trailer a few houses over, but for the most part they keep to themselves.

BG power steering flush on my car($60)

BG Trans and BG Coolant flush on both cars.($90x2 and $150x2)

$586 after taxes and fees. Really not too bad.....

This is the second trans flush on both cars, which both have "maintenance free transmissions". The Toyota coolant is supposed to last 100k miles, just got its first change. The Mazda (motorcraft) coolant was rated for 8 years or something stupid, its has its second change.

No unexpected fluid related failures on my cars. Mazda has 54k miles and Toyota has 72k.

Here's to preventative maintenance!

I'm doing 4 year trans flushes, and 2 years on other fluids.

The boy is 11, spring break was this past week, so I took some time to help him with the update, and do a couple missions, between go cart racing, jump and fun, the fair, and of course playing football outside with neighbors.

Sesame street isn't helping that rumor they say is false

The segment called "Bert and Earnie's Great Adventures" has a theme song with lyrics that contain "every time the bed starts tappin', something special's gonna happen".

Just found a 2006 Silverado LT2 2wd for about $6,000! It has 200k miles total and is on its second 5.3, the new one has 28k miles on it. I'm assuming it has the towing package since it has an external tranny oil cooler along with the full trailer wiring harness.

Its white with a dark pewter interior, and it looks perfect inside and out.

I'm so torn between selling the '00 and buying this one. Although the high mileage is a downer.

It came down to $5,500...

Not to sound corny but i love my truck so much! But I do recognize that its not logical to keep on pouring money into it with very little to show, especially with the wife not supporting me. She couldn't care less about it.
