I rarely carry cash even though paying with card here carries a 10 cent per gallon premium or some stations a flat 35 cent fee

24/7 Store stations give a decent discount here for $, it's common sense since people are much more likely to buy stuff that makes them money that way.

I would say that here in AZ it's a not considered the norm and I hardly ever see it. And considering that the weather is in the 70's there isn't a need to idle while fueling.

 

And we don't do it when its 110+ degrees either.

Reading about the new postal vehicles(current ones date back to 87), first they said GM was the only domestic automaker interested, but then I read a DaikyMail UK (?) article saying now only Nissan is slightly interested. Looks like your mailman might get to drive a truck with an airbag by 2025!

 

Don't blame the automakers, the story goes a few years ago the USPS tested using A/C in their trucks. They found it didn't increase productivity........

 

The test was run in Minnesota. [emoji23]
