You're quick! Here's a better picture of the 61036: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/grt-61036 The wheel that you installed, I don't know how that would feel to me. I sort of like the 'standard' shape.

You're quick! Yes, I think I like the shape of the 61036 a little better. Do you know if it would fit mine? For some reason I'm having a little issue on the Grant site.

I love the shape. And you posted someone trying to screw a person over on ebay.

My only complaints are, only leather in 3 places and the rest feels cheap, the 61036 will be the same as far as materials, and the grant emblem gets hot as dicks on a 100+ degree summer day

It should fit no problem. I need to find a new wheel button harness. I kind of want to use the stock on mine for a while

100+ Ah, southern Ca! Not a problem here in Ma.

I'm going to look a bit more. I'm changing the wheel to get the button controls. I can't seem to find a 2004-2005 Sierra wheel with buttons. I've located an accessory switch harness, but not a stock Sierra wheel with buttons.

Yes. what with the adapters for the after market DVD player and all, and I suppose there's a dealer charge for reprogramming. .Crazy cost, though I guess you're happy having the extra functionality?

I decided that I didn't care for either of the Grant Wheels so: New OEM Wheel: Manufacturer Part Number: 10364743 Pewter $227.00

This is the same wheel in black: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2007-Chevy-GMC-Hummer-Black-Leather-Steering-Wheel-w-Switches-OEM-NEW-/201281625594

DORMAN Clockspring Part # 525015 {#26094620} Crew Cab Pickup; Automatic trans.; Trans. code 4L60-E; w/Electronic Accessory Control System $85.00 (That Should be the same for an Ext. Cab)

Accessory Harness $16

I told one of the local dealers what I was doing and he said he'd reprogram the BCM for $98.00

Total: $426.00 plus taxes. I can accept those prices for this mod.

If anyone knows that I've gone awry somewhere; let me know.

My clockspring was almost $600, but i went OEM. Thats about what i paid for a loaded wheel. And programming is about right. Did you make sure to tell them that two seperate things had to be programmed for full functionality

I did say to the service guy that I spoke with that I wanted to make sure that I got the cruse control, and the radio and the access to the Driver information center. He said that would cover it. So hopefully... After the wheel is all set I can think about my new DVD and power amp...another $700-$800 ~.

Ah. Well I suppose if I have have access to the DIC I can use some of the buttons for something else. Heater controls should, of course, be available redundantly on the wheel

The buttons will do what they are meant to do. Nothing special. If you do change some, radio buttons only and they will only control radio functions. Like my voice control/onstar button on the wheel mutes audio
