SarahsGMC
Cool degree to go for, if that is really what you want to do in life, that also leads into Biomechantronics or the stuff you see in video games like exo suits and stuff like that. If you do find a good company, been a while since I researched this career field, you should make a median salary of around 80-90k a year. That is of course you are good at your job and have been in the game for a few years. I'm still thinking that I might try to pursue this as well being I love making things better. I have to basically apply the same principles to my job as an electrician/enviro troop and can submit forms for improvements on how to do something better or even add a part that could save the AF money over time. Either way, good luck and I hope it make you the big bux so you can buy or full resto a bad ass truck in the future!Doing the classes through my shop so i can become a process tech and if all goes well I'm going to get a better job elsewhere
MikeNH
All signed up to learn mechatronics for free in college now. What all does that cover? A friend of mine out here programs/troubleshoots automated equipment on assembly lines. He has to travel all over the area but money seems good. MikeNH
Yeah my buddy has done stuff at plants all over MI and OH. I need to make a choice on work. The money is good but being on the road all week sucks. I do miss friends/family back in NH but regardless of whatever job I had there I pretty much would give up any hope of owning a home. Houses are sooooo much less money in the midwest.

SnakeEyeSS
Move to Kansas! Lots of jobs, plus there are like a dozen women here too!OK is better! I had a BMW buddy in the NE and we both did a radius search on a social network site (maybe MySpace when it was "the" site) and compared the pictures. He wanted to move And we also have elevation changes. And better gun laws, than even Texas. You can now have them in your car on school property. Chevyguy85
Texas and Florida are actually pretty bad for gun rights when compared to the perception of those who don't know the truth. Kinda sad actually.

As far as gun laws, all TX really has going for it is the culture and the property defense laws. NH laws are actually better- only off limits place are court houses and federal places. MI is massively confusing but with a carry permit (CPL), there are maybe a dozen places off limits to concealed carry- schools, churches, stadiums, bars, hospitals and a few others. But due to some weirdness in how the laws are written, CPL holders can open carry in those places legally. Now bars, stadiums and such can still say no since they're private property but schools cannot do this because of preemption laws in MI so you can bring your kids to school and OC and be 100% legal. Schools hate it and most will still call the cops and some will even lock down the school even if you announce you're a CPL holder but there is nothing they can do to stop you still. But in the end of the two above I'll take Oklahoma. With Kansas only having 12 women and me being not so good looking I don't like those odds.

VA is the same way, as far as alcoholic beverages are concerned. You can open carry (without need for a concealed permit) if you are consuming an adult beverage but you cannot consume and conceal carry. I'm gonna have to read up on all the other crazy loopholes and stuff since I'm going to be applying for mine in May Sent while in 'Murica...
