So, my ATF looks great, probably new, but I want to dyno friday and don't know what kind it is.

 

If I gained up to 2% on a 700HP motor, that could be 10HP from a good synthetic if I drained just the pan(If you don't know, research it, synthectics return some losses from non synthetics, PHR and BMW club mag have both documented it with dynos).

 

Should I spend the $70 and put in a great synthetic, or just roll with what I have?

 

The GV had the synthetic in it, (I think, that was the PN for fluid hand written on the manual), the rear end did, thinking there has to be good ATF in the trans.
