Didn't know that Hyundai and KIA were the same. So your saying the newer ones are built better?

Yep, Hyundai has had a large stake in Kia since 1998. And by newer being better I was discussing the cars I worked on. I'd say most of their stuff 2006 and later is pretty solid.

I worked at a Hyundai dealership (they're the same cars underneath- Kia is owned by Hyundai)

That is only true of the platform. Its not anything like GMs cars, the parent corp ENCOURAGES the two brands to compete. Never see that with the american companies. That's why you'll see their platform mates with slightly different engines,(check elantra and forte, for instance) and occasionally why KIA has had better options in its version of whatever car. For instance, the Optima has LED fog and running lamps(maybe headlamps as an option, don't care to look it up), and the Sonata doesn't. In fact, I've read the Optima had the nicer interior materials even though the Sonata is supposed to be higher end product.

Also, why KIA even has the new 70K+ K900. Do you think GM would allow Chevy to build a car that competes directly with the CTS? Or allow the Denali to have better options and interior than the Escalade? Imagine if VW let Audi build a supercar more radical than anything Lambo makes!

They want each brand to make the best car it possibly can for the price, no holds barred. What an idea!

Kia models look better in my opinion too. That's probably because they got someone from Audi back in 2006 though. As for the differences, I wasn't aware of the engine being different in those two. I've had Sonata and Optimas as rentals dozens of times and they have the same stuff under the sheetmetal.

Well, this stinks. There was a site that did fundraisers for charity. You pay $25 plus shipping you get a shirt and proceeds go to charity. So, it was a great charity( ourrescue.org ) and I bought 2 shirts. I got an email on 4/20 saying it shipped, but no tracking info. I still havent received them. So I email the shirt company three days ago, who was the place I paid directly(I guess they give the leftover profit to charity.) No answer, and today is the last day for a PayPal dispute, so I filed a dispute, but also trying to contact the company again by their own website.

I heard about the fundraiser from the charity directly(Facebook post), so I know they were endorsing fundraiser.

Since I paid the shirt company directly, do you think it would be wierd to file for a PayPal claim if they don't answer again?

My GMC dealer is an Hyundai dealer too, I have a 05 Elantra, 11 Geneses, and a 10 Geneses coup that I traded for the truck. The best cars for the money period.

I live in a typical suburban neighborhood.

An elderly neighbor is a bit excited about the open carry that passed a few years ago here, and my wife saw him mowing with what sounded like a nickel plated 1911 on one hip and two extra clips on the other.

Maybe he's after that mole.

Don't know but I would not piss him off or mess around outside after dark. Lol

It's a shame it's taking so much for the southern states to be on board with OC. At the same time the guys showing up at Starbucks/Chipotle/etc with rifles aren't helping the cause at all.
