It's missing the cam and lifters, but supposedly everything else is there. May go take a peek this weekend.

I would. I love the Vortec engine series (minus the AFM equipped versions).

Wiring might be a pain, or are you going to use a stand alone controller system like the stuff MSD makes?

You could always buy a Goodwrench replacement bottom end and stick some nice heads and manifold on it, if you don't mind a carb.

Edit: just saw post you made right after mine, wow, that's cheap if its in good shape

Even though it's only $350, it's still $350 I would be spending. Planning on cracking covers and pan to see what shape the internals are in.

I would probably use something from Painless to hook it up. Would need an adapter to mate to the 700r4 as well.

I need some parking/driving lenses. Found some on Rock Auto, but wondering how good they are for $8 a piece...

I got driving and parking light cheap from them for my 01 when I had it, and they actually held up really well and didn't leak. I was amazed.

That surprises me too. So I ran into another problem. I have a few bulbs blown in the instrument cluster, and there telling me the bulbs aren't serviceable...

I see that as a non-question- a slow car from 1991 or something that has at least a bit of power and the driving dynamics to back it up and is nearly a decade newer. The Yota is 23 years old.

Both are pretty much slow. There is only one turbo'd MR2 that I could find and it's out of my price rang. This is only to be a DD back and forth from work and something to tinker on as well. If I want performance, there are a few Supra's that are for sale here as well!

Do a search for cluster lights or something of that nature. There were some threads that should be able to give you everything you need to fix up those lights. If I can find them I'll post them.

Will do. There not terrible yet, just a few blown, and the ones that still work fill in the missing light pretty good. I'd still like to fix them though.

If you find a nice 88-91 M3 for cheap let me know.
