I think there is no need in the US and in Canada for a car like this.

And since you can not tow so much like with a truck anyway.

Even if VW managed to give their diesels some behavior it is still a diesel. A W12 is much more comfortable and has a lot of power too.

 

In Europe where gas is more expensive then diesel it makes more sense for SUV lovers with the need of power to buy the V10.

It has active air ride suspension that lowers it while driving

A diesel mag did road tests and averaged 21mpg's! Not bad for a heavy suv!

the truck isnt properly set up to tow.. no one who knows anything about towing uses a truck with a 6 inch lift or a body lift and 35 inch straight mud tires or whatever to tow.. and like kstruckcountry said, big ass traction bars would help eliminate the axle hop.

 

the vee dub most likely has some really sticky road tires on it too. combined with a low center of gravity, probably a pretty mean machine

 

 

mine tows just fine, i mean obviously if you were towing 20k trailer day in day out it wouldnt be the best set up. but for the average joe pulling a 10k travel trailer it doesnt matter if you have 35's or not.

 

the torque down low/ allison 6 speed/ 3:73's is a beauty combo, especially with a few cheap easy mods the duramax really shines while towing
