Somerset, WI to Denver, CO by way of Keystone, SD and back (through Nebraska) 2400 miles and 42 hours in 4 days. Some of it was pretty slow driving through Badlands NP and Rocky Mountain NP.

I'd slow down for both of those parks anyday. Beautiful parks, drives and hikes.

I drove from South Dennis, MA to Wasilla, AK. It took about about a week, give or take a day or two. It was an amazing drive!! Did I mention I did this is the Winter time?

Wasilla, AK? Awesome, I have a house over in Palmer. Can't wait to move back. I also have driven the Alaska Highway, twice. First time in winter, what an excursion that was, moving from Delaware to Alaska. Second time in summer, when I moved from Alaska to "The South" (Georgia). Also an outstanding drive, except the ending point. Around 5k miles up (across US to California, then up through) and 6300 miles down, same route in reverse...kinda.) As far as a direct drive with only rest stops and no sleep personally was from Panama City, FL to Orlando FL. Around 400 miles and about 6 hours total with local roads and traffic all the way.

I worked at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for 13 weeks.

Bullhead city Arizona to Spokane, Washington non stop. I tried to stop once outside Elko Nevada. I curled up in the back seat of my 1964 Oldsmobile to knap a little bit. I had pulled off on a dirt road and parked. Just as I was about to doze off the car lurched a little bit to one side. My eyes were wide open at that point so I got up and out to see what was happening. The little dirt road I had pulled off on was frozen mud, [it was November] and the heat of the car was thawing it somewhat making the car slip a little towards the ditch. Well I couldn't stay there so off I went. I tuned the radio to a local station and there was a winter storm coming, they talked about large accumulations of snow coming in from the west right towards where I was going, so it was a race!

Miserable trip, pulled over in Moscow Idaho because I heard a noise. Turned out the left rear wheel bearing was on its way out. I made it all the way to my Grandparents in Spokane and after having knee surgery three months before I couldn't get out of the car!.LOL

When I took the axle out of the housing in my Grandparents garage there where three ball bearings with no cage and a little pile of metal dust! Anyhow it was a memorable trip and a great Thanksgiving that year..... long time ago.

Fargo to Bullhead City, AZ and back for Christmas. About 1700 miles each way with only 4 days inbetween. Stopped overnight in Denver each way but going through the Rockies in the middle of winter sucks.

Depending on the time frame I may have seen you there. I was stationed in Alaska from March 2004 to May 2008. I've visited the medical center a few times.

Have you ever had surgery? I work in the OR, and that is the only place you might have seen me at the hospital.

16.5 hours.

drove my truck from CT to FL (~1200 miles). left at 3.30 in the morning and arrived between 7.30 and 8 pm that night. and then did the reverse a week later. we timed it perfectly to miss the rush hours in various cities and there wasnt an accident or construction zone to be seen (never broke the speed limit either...i swear :fingersx: ). it was my wife and i, but my wife doesnt drive so i was the only driver.
