Denali lift options? Need Help

Recommended Posts

I need some help from anyone who has successfully lifted their Denali's. I'm just looking to do a 4" lift/level and need to know what the best option is.

I've done a bunch of research, and I know you're supposed to install a dual cardan shaft, but are there any problems at all with chattering/vibration after install of the dual cardan shaft? I'd really like to lift my 2011 Denali and I need to know if this is going to cause damage to the cv's or the transfer case. Anyone who has lifted theirs PLEASE chime in on this.

I contacted Readylift about using their 4" bolt-on lift. I asked about the dual cardan shaft and this was their reply:

" Nick,

Thank you for contacting ReadyLIFT Suspension Inc., We have tested with the double cardan driveline with our 4” SST Lift Kit on a AWD Vehicle and that is not the issue or vibration, we have found the issue to be with the half shafts and CV’s. We do not have a fit for your AWD Denali at this time.

Please, feel free to give us a call with any questions that you may have.

Thank you for your consideration of ReadyLIFT Suspension Inc. "

This scares me and I don't want to destroy my brand new truck. It only has 12000 km's on it and I just bought it 3 weeks ago.

Welcome Nick, and to each his own, but man, that sure is a nice looking truck as is, are you sure that's what you want to do? Do you have room as is for any more tire? That will bring it up a little, without messing up cv joints, stretching boots, bad angles etc. Besides, you're already rolling a Denali. your sitting higher than alot of us even if the truck isn't. It's taller than mine if that helps...

Nice! That body lift looks pretty slick.

Did you do the work yourself? I'm wondering what price range I should be looking at for a kit plus install if I decide to go the body lift route.

A guy from a local truck outfitter shop got back to me today and said that there are a few suppliers offering AWD lift kits now. But he said they won't work with Autoride. Does the Denali have Autoride?

"

Fabtech has a 4” that will not work with oem shocks

But if truck has autoride they don’t offer a shock

There is a 3” from skyjacker works with oem shocks

You may need to call the dealer with serial and ask if it is equipped with auto ride

4” fabtech kit is 995.00 plus shocks

Anyone with thoughts or experience with any of these products?

I tried to put the RC 2" leveling kit on mine. Got it re-aligned aftwerwards.

It drove prefect and it looked awesome perfectly leveled.

However, from 60MPH and above I had vibration in the sterring wheel.

The higher the speed, the worse the vibration became.

I took the kit off and re-aligned and as of today, I am still at stock hiegth.

Here is a picture with the RC 2" kit installed before I removed it.

Thanks for the info. I think I'd be in trouble then as I have a bit of a lead foot.

I love the more aggressive stance of these trucks leveled out (front strut extender) or with 4" of lift but maybe I'll wait till I'm out of warranty as it seems that I'm likely to run into some issues. :/
