Texting while driving

Ok, people, so figure this out... I'm not sure about nationwide statistics, but in Florida, where it is still legal to text and drive, over the past two years, where, in my opinion, texting has really grown in usage, vehicle fatalities have gone DOWN 2 percent. Texting up, fatalities down. All the more reason to support texting while driving.

Maybe someone can explain statistics to this couple. I hope you're kidding...

...(NOTHING Pisses me off more than seeing someone with a Cell Phone Glued to their Ear, and their GM Vehicle is Equipped with OnStar!)...

That's the funny thing about it...or the more embarrassing...big huge truck with $2000 rims and tires, $1500 exhaust, $1000 engine tuning, $5000 paint job and so on.

There is no money left for a subscription for OnStar or a hands free device...lol.

Best thing I've ever seen was a socker van with mommy and 2 kids in the back. Of course a sticker on the rear window: "Kids On Board!".

Guess what mommy does?

With the left hand holding a cell phone to the ear and in the right hand a burger.

Only the little tinky finger is holding the steering wheel.

BUT DON'T YOU DARE TO TAILGATE HER OR EVEN HONK THE HORN ON THE GREEN LIGHT!!! CAN'T YOU SEE THE STICKER??

so long

I don't have onstar and if I did I'd pull the fuse and never use it ever. And laws don't matter michigan has a no texting law and I see people on phones nonstop no officer is going to follow thousands of cars and issue tickets. And even if there is a wreck over it and they die you can't fine em anyway. People just need common sense, thank god I live in the country.

Why pull the fuse on OnStar? It's less invasive than that cell phone that is surely in the truck with you.

Ah but they do when the laws change infact they sit at intersections near parking lots and I've seen up to 10 cars being issued tickets from police. It's like when they do seatbelt spot checks the same way except they look for cell phone users. I agree about the onstar the phone service is terrible and I find the rest of the service useless. (except if I got stranded in the bush which happened 2 weeks ago).

In a dodge mega cab diesel 4x4 don't ask I wasn't driving let's just say my friend went left instead of right and we went down a skimobile trail 3 feet of snow it took 2 days to get a grader to pull us out!

What do you think Google, Facebook and such do? As for "help", I've only kept OnStar for the crash response, nothing else.

yea your phone even tracks you and takes personal info of you to . Phone companies will sell your phone number to just like companies cell email addresses. I am not worried about being tracked in a vehicle have nothing to hide .

Everyone has/isintitled to and opinion. I have been guilty of texting while driving, even when I was aware it was unsafe. I think if someone you cared about was killed by someone driving irresponsibly, wether they were texting, eating, drunk, distracted, whatever, no fine is going to fix the damage they cause. Next time you pick up your phone, just think, can anything go wrong? because noone wants to go through life knowing you killed the parent of a young child, or the child of a new parent, just because they weren't using their head. If your on an empty highway, by yourself, fine, but it is a bad habit. I know if someone was drunk, or texting, and took the life of my loved ones, Id start swingin.
