Im kinda in the same boat you are... Im looking to go bigger because of the girls and my dogs, And the mega cab from dodge is awesome.. Like i posted,If gm had somekind of x-large cab configuration i would get it.. but also the cummins is supposed to be the king of diesels, Ive never had one so why not.. Also for 11-2012 i think they make the most pwr/tq 385-400 Hp and 800 ft lbs while getting the best mpg,s..

I also looked at a crew cab long bed srw f-350 king ranch, And they seem real nice..'08-newer'

They all have there pro,s/ con,s And i am really a gm guy deep down.. but that mega cab rite now is the decision maker..

I like all the 2500/3500 trucks, but the GM and Dodge are my favorites. How does it ride/handle? Dodge is usually sprung the lightest (lower payload), but I haven't driven the newer ones.

The ride is awesome. I got my first trip out of it driving through some mountains and snow to bring it home. It was four hours away where I bought it from, as there's not a lot of them kicking around on the market. My MPGs during the 4 hrs home averaged 16.5mpg..

Payload is not a huge deal, as I mostly will use it for towing, and not hauling a ton of stuff (dirt, rock for the yard etc., nothing too crazy)

Thanks all for the comments :)

Keep an eye on the front bumper or maybe get it clear filmed.  My sister has a Ram with the painted front bumper and the paint just "disappeared" in hundreds of spots and left a rusty mess.  The rest of the truck still looks perfect.

Chrysler claimed the rust was from "leaving bug guts" on the paint.
