whats my best option to be up 3-5" over factory height..without sp

Recommended Posts

I want to go a little higher with my 05 sierra 3500.. Right now it looks good with 4" block in rear, and new keys up front adjusted. I want to go a little higher..but dont want to go the route of an 1800$ lift kit..money reason 1, 2 is i dont like when the front wheels stick out to far! and still want the rear to be 1.5/2" higher

Please let me know what you think..And/or theres a way to do a suspension lift without having the front wheels out so far.

Thanks

I wanted to stay away from body lift.. I was just looking on ebay and i found a bunch of 4 or 6" kits for 12-1300$

I thought there was a company that made a 5" kit..

what is it that actually lifts the front end in these kits.. I see they have blocks for the rear. But what changes the front? and will i still have they keys there to adjust if need be?

I wouldn't want a lift that pushes the front wheels out either. Makes them look like crap.

I,ll get pics up asap.. frog- dont get me wrong.. i like em lifted, just dont like the wheels way out. Your truck looks great!

And i definitly want the rake..the rear needs to be atleast 1-1.5" higher.. For hauling wood, towing camper,etc.. Ive seen so many beatiful trucks lifted..and im sure they spent big money between the truck,lift,assecories,..But its ruined when the front end/nose is higher then the rear! I gues a 1.5 body lift wouldnt be bad vs the 3".. Im just afraid if i go with the 4" kit..and 35,s..Ill wish i went with 6" and say..36,s

Frog what is your lift? do you have body and suspension?

I looked on ebay and every 1.5" body lift was for 1/2 tons only,

Im thinking just go with the 6" suspension but just make sure the rear blocks are right to have the rake i need.

Guys refresh my memory,.. the more the offset the closer the wheels will be to the inside of the truck..If its lees offset it pushes the wheels out, Am i right?

But remember if you go up some more in lift they won't look out so far, that might be a good offset, but we need to see your truck!

Thats true.. The inch out to far im not liking now would probably look good with the front end up 2" or so..

Im not looking for them to be tucked in.. Just not way out.

Frog- do you like it being that high? Or sometimes wish you did just the suspension?

Cool, Whats the shackle flip about?

I saw 40,s on 22 or 24" wheels and it looked awesome. Compared to the old days with a 38 or 40" tire on a 15" wheels..uggh

I really think the big tires look cool on big wheels. Are you able to get the rear of the truck level or slightly higher then the front? or do you like it the way it sits.. Hard to tell from pic.
