Blackbear Auto-cal - worth every penny!

I don't know anything about the people at BBP, but it seems to be a very small business--probably just Justin and Jenna. I do know about running a business though, and if BBP hired a full-time phone-support tech, your AutoCal or other custom tune service would be much more expensive. As they become more popular, it gets even harder for one or two people to keep up, and it sounds like they are pretty swamped right now. I don't blame them for not offering a phone number, because the constant interruptions would make it difficult to get anything else done. With email and the various forums, they can still answer questions in a timely manner, but all in a single dedicated block of time.

I am very new to BBP, but so far I'm very impressed with the response time, and the thoroughness of the response.

Yes, BBP is a VERY small business, with only Justin doing the tuning. You are correct, if we hired someone for phone/email support, prices would go up, and chances are, that person probably would not be as knowledgeable as needed to answer the more technical questions.

Hell I might try to plan a trip down to Temecula or San Diego, and have Justin Dyno tune

Realistically, unless you have major mods, dyno tune would be a waste of your time. Justin will actually be cruising through your area in the Jan timeframe. If you have your engine installed by then, he can get you a baseline tune via your AutoCal, and then meet up with you for a street tune.

Jenna a question was his L92/tvs2300 smog legal? After a transmission I'm looking into those mods on my LQ9

Also what would be the price to look at and retune me a little with my autocal? I have my 4.8 files but I don't want to be stuck to one tune with the 6.0

OK. I love the tune they gave me, but I'd like something for towing and economy too.

Will I catch hell at a smog shop for it not having an EO number? I'm eventually trying for about 450 CARB legal RWHP.

No, not until we figure out a replacement for it and the TC.

Just an FYI, your 6L swap is not CARB legal, unless you had a referee determine it is.

I know that Jenna. Cal Speed went over that with me. I need to get info off a wrecked Denali or SS. But until then I need it to look like a 4.8 with CARB legal parts
