Anyone Know about VA Letter AB8?

I'm waiting on my packet since my disability claim was just closed but I can see my AB8. It shows 2 amounts, a gross an a net, also an effective date of December 1, 2011. The effective date is 6 months after I discharged from the Air Force.

 

Am I missing something?

The reason for the two amounts is due to you being retired and your disability percentage from the VA being less than 50%

I asked them and a week later got my packet. 60% with a special monthly compensation of $99
