Aren't Onan's diesel?!?!

 

Not all of them. Back in my early military days when we still had quite a few gasoline engines, several pieces of equipment I worked were driven by two cylinder gas Onan engines.

they are good Gas engines... I have one on my portable miller welder..

What do you guys think about this ethanol mix with direct injection engine and their higher compression ratio? Does the ethonal help suppress pinging in the higher compression engines like a methanol injection setup?
