Attempted home break in

This wont stop them from breaking in but everybody should catalog everything with a serial number on it. It helped me get most of my stuff back when mine was broken into. Here the sheriff dept routinely checks the pawn shops checking for stolen merchadise if a report is filed. The guy who pawned my stuff lives 2 doors down from me and is going to trial for felony theft at the end of the month. Without the serial numbers he would have never caught and you need ID to pawn. Just a thought

I've done this for years. And I have pics of everyting.

My security system is a mean ass dog that barks at anyone who he doesn't know, and so far it's worked. As well as having good neighbors that look out for each other

.

An instructor or trainer for weapons told you that?

From a person like this I would expect a comment like: "- remember if you shoot, even if your are 100% in the right and justified, it will likely cost one's life-"...

I hope money is not your only concern.

So long

j-ten-ner

I have zero concern for someone who breaks into my home. I won't shoot someone who's trying to steal from my property because that is a legal bag of worms (though I certainly won't feel bad for someone who gets themselves killed breaking the law) but if you bust down my door while I'm home, all bets are off and the law is on my side.

There is no better security for your home than a dog.

Agreed. Burglaries, home invasions, and robberies tend to slow down when citizens take lethal action.

The house I own is 3 hours from thunder bay in a small town on the north shore of lake superior. Never had an issue here, in fact when you need a service (plumber, cable guy etc) you can just tell them to go in lol. Cuz I know who they are anyways ahah. Thunder bay is a different story, natives everywhere. Stab you for a loonie. When I go there with my family I always have a knife in the center console and my nice oversize taylormade wedge under my seat. I don't have a restricted gun license, even if I did in Canada you need to have it locked up in your car with a trigger lock on it. It took my old man over a year to acquire a restricted license. I could take my rifle or shotty but by the time you got the locks off your screwed.

When I'm in fort Mac, I carry a good beating stick of some sort in my work truck too. I've had a couple run ins in ft Mac, but never in tbay. Come close in thunder bay tho, had to tell a guy to get the f$ away from my truck or you'll have a headache once tho. Over a cigarette. I wish we could pack a small hand gun in Canada, but that will

Never happen. Government would lose to much tax grabbing free money that way.

Yeah, black people don't like big German Shepherds; that's okay, 'cause my big German Shepherd feels the same way about them. Gee, I wonder why black people get so nervous when a German Shepherd shows up?

Interesting that you bring race into this issue, when it hasn't been mentioned. Best to rethink what you said before a mod notices....

Shoot to kill when need be. When I get back to the state's, The wife and I are both getting permits and are going to carry where-ever we go. Sc is not getting any better.

Let me recommend Paladin Services, I took mine with them, and they were great!

I don't see what race has to do with anything the vast majority of break in's in my area are committed by blacks, that's just the simple facts as it is in my area

It's funny tho my weim can notice any blacks walking by our front yard and he goes crazy and they don't dare come to the back door because he goes crazy. But it I take him in the back of my truck he is sweet as a lamb to everyone and doesn't bark.

15 years ago when I got my CCW, the most useful thing I got from the training course was the trainer said - remember if you shoot, even if your are 100% in the right and justified, it will likely cost you at least $50K in legal fees. Do you really want to save that weedeater that badly? I bet the number is more like $250K now.....

I carry a $300,000. policy just for this situation. Go to USConcealedCarry.com/Membership.

Glad nothing major happened and you are still safe.... Keep your doors locked and gun loaded and within arms reach you sleep.

Open carry is a great deterrant. Makes these crooks think twice knowing people are armed and will no longer allow themselves to be victimized.

It also advertises where guns can be found and stolen.

LOL.........It in no way advertises the location of any weapons or other type of personal property for that matter, that statement is absurd. What is says is, maybe we should not try to rob this store because the guy standing at the back of the line has a weapon.....don't try to rob that person they will fight back.........don't break into his house, you may get shot. It's comforting to see law obiding citizens carry, especially while on duty. I encounter many of them, just another sign of people exercising their right.

By all means protect yourself. If open carry is legal in your state, then feel free to open carry. Whe nis the last time you heard of an armed police officer getting robbed? Probably NEVER because the crook can plainly see his sidearm. Now if it were a parking meter person that is unarmed, it's more likely that person will be picked to be victimized.
