Sounds like you almost had the same type of encounter this guy had in this video.

Damn Brady Bunch butt f**king tree huggers...

Wow... I just saw this video for the first time. Kudos to the guy for being cool.

Nissan's headquarters are 3 miles from my house, a Nissan factory is about 35 minutes away, friends that work for Nissan, and I used to drive a Nissan. That said, I really dislike the "zero emission" on the side of every Leaf they make. They plug in to a coal-powered grid here in Tennessee, with a little hydroelectric power. I'm not against coal, but I'm against "zero emission" false labeling.

By the way, a vehicle that is properly running, whether a V2 or a V42, emits mostly CO2, and little to no CO, and little NOx. CO2 is not a pollutant. Period. If it is, I pollute every time I exhale.

Oh, and her cigarette? Yeah...that emits more CO (NOT CO2) than his precious truck.

Ya I do, she will be 3 on aug 20th, she's my world. If anybody ever spoke like that in front of my daughter I would lose it. Disrespectful people out there it makes me sick to my stomach. I also have a fiancé, thanks for passing quick judgement on me. You dont me, my family means everything to me. Here's a pic of my daughter.

I know what you mean. Just the other day, I nicely asked a fellow in a parts store to watch his language because of my 4 year old girl's little ears nearby. He responded positively.

I agree! In some situations one is so close to break someones arm.

One can get carried away...as I was with my judgement.

Just got irritated by the language you used.

Cute little girl your daughter! No wonder that you're so protective.

All the best to your family.

Saw a bumper sticker on an older 90's Chevy PU yesterdays. Hungry? Eat a TREE HUGGER

I need one of those! Haha. I just won't ever put it on my truck.

Funny how these prius and and other hybrid owners are so excited about their forty something mpg in the city while hitting the brakes to recharge and less mpg on the on the highway where they don't ride the brakes. And as mentioned, with a thousand pound battery to dispose of and possibly replace with another. I'm sure they're biodegradable, somwhere between styrofoam and radioactive waste. My brother's wife had a little car, 27 years ago, a 1985 honda crx hf, that got 49mpg city and 54mpg hwy. Tiny gutless engine(like the prius), but no battery, electric motors, etc. It would seem to me that 27 years of 4 cylinder mileage evolution have done more harm to the environment than good. On the V8 side of things, I had a GTO with about 350hp that got 4-5 mpg city and about 9 mpg hwy. My truck has about 200 more horsepower, weighs a thousand pounds more, is less aerodynamic and gets more than double the city mpg and almost double the hwy mpg, with about a tenth the emissions. That's moving in the right direction. Hang on, I gotta go hug my freakin' tree.

I think a lot of lost fuel mileage is due to all the amenities everybody want to have in the car.

I am no exception.

A/C; pw; pd; pe; po; pi; pl; pk; pm; ps; py; pt; px......everything is "powered". That needs energy and adds weight to the car.

Wondering how the mileage would be if I rip out all the stuff and run the truck just on what he needs to run.

IMO it is a better choice to make the combustion engines better than trying to develop a "no emissions" car. Because that's impossible.

One can burn almost everything in a combustion engine. Only a matter of the set up.

Alcohol, Canola Oil, fluid butter, propane, butane and so on. And it is possible to keep the emissions low.

How many ways do you have to generate (enough) electric power? WITHOUT EMISSIONS!

I work with a guy who drives a Prius. He also wears skinny jeans.... :uhoh:

LOL...........Red flags all over the place with that one.

I am not a fan of those Hybrid's and don't really care what people drive. The ones that piss me off are the ones that drive 25 mph in a 55 one lane road wit han Obama sticker on the bumper. For some reason that makes my skin crawl and I want to slam into them. Probably would if it wouldn't damage my vehicle.
