Had to work and cover the display on foot. They ran into an issue with the electrical right after the show started so it got canceled with no rescheduled date. A busy night as always.

We were allowed to shoot off fireworks within city limits. That way the FD could get there faster. Which ended up being good, my friends lit the neighbor's pen on fire with a speed ball. Shortly thereafter, someone threw a speed ball at me, and it shot up my shorts and lit my underwear. Didn't even burn my shorts, I'm glad no one drove by when I was speed stripping out of my burning drawers. 2nd degree burns on my leg, luckily a small enough area I didn't need the ER. I was not very happy about it at all. If you want to throw firecrackers at me fine, but just not the miniature fireballs that shoot up my shorts. Not funny.

 

Other than that, a great holiday, saw a great display, nothing like the one posted above though. Grateful for the people who have really suffered for us.

Tues nights fireworks were rain delayed, and 2 citys cancled on the 4th, one due to computer glitch, other citys fireworks got wet, and felt they were unsafe to fire

great balls of fire, sorry man I have some bad fireworks stories too. Thats why I dont do them anymore.

I always try to be careful with em, too bad common sense isn't contagious. Just happy it wasn't serious, maybe next 4th I'll be able to sit in my chair to watch the show more comfortably.

 

And if it had been an inch higher, it would have been balls on fire literally! Ouch!
