I've sweat through everything I have on out at the jobsites today. Felt bad for the laborers but worse for the excavator operator, those cylinders next to the cab get STUPID hot.

I don't know what my truck says but my little weather app on my computer says it's 103* here in Nashville. Supposed to be 105-108* on Saturday.

According to the thermometer in the truck it was 112 on the way to the lake Sunday. Not good weather for camping in a popup. According to forecast 111 today. Way too hot to do anything.

Take a 2 yr old to the beach. Took me 3 months to get all the sand out of our Tahoe last summer.

 

You have 25K miles already? Damn I am at like 24 on my 2010.

I bet I could get a kid to the beach and back without a flake of sand ending up in the truck- ya just gotta run them through the shower in a changing room before heading out (assuming the facilities exist, I haven't been to a public beach since I was 11 or 12 I bet). Dry them off, put on a clean pair of shorts and back in the truck and home you go with no sand.

 

 

Please realize all of that is what I like to call "bachelor theory".

 

And yep, 25k and counting. It had 13,998 on it when I left for Michigan in March. I drive this to customer sites. This month alone I've been to:

 

Midland, MI

 

Terre Haute, IN

 

Silver Lake

 

Pittsburgh, PA

 

And just this week Chicago-ish and today round trip to Akron, OH and back. Tomorrow I head up to St Ignace for the car show.
