That's going to be quite the rifle when it's done. Don't cheap out on the optics for a rifle that nice.

Check out something similar to these

Thank you!

I really like the Leupold scopes. I think $3K is a little out of the range though LOL. Right now I am just worried about getting my lower (It has been on backorder since before Thanksgiving) in before things change and all of these parts that I have purchased are completely useless. I have been trying to just buy a generic stripped lower to have on hand incase I can't get the other just to keep as a back up and that has been near impossible.

The shop I deal with won't even pick up the phone they are so busy, and when you go there people are like 8 - 10 deep trying to get in there.... It is insane.

All due respect, I wouldn't buy a pack of gum from Walmart. Go check out a local gun shop and help support a small business. You may pay a little more but you'll get a ton of knowledge and confidence that your buying a decent piece.

Also, this has imported parts on it which I personally don't like. But that's my opinion.

Agreed. 3k is a bit out there. I think you would be much better off getting one good optic that is like 1.5-6x or similar than buying two lesser quality optics for different distances. That being said, I have no problem shooting 2MOA out to ~300 yards with my Aimpoint and a 2MOA dot with no magnification. It would be easier with some magnification though.

I've had a lot of my friends who have decided that now's the time to buy/build an AR because of the threat of a ban... My only advice is that you should have done it months ago or at least after the election. Buy the first one you find and don't be picky. I've been trying to hunt down misc parts for friends who are just finishing some builds and it has been a PITA. I'm just pissed that I didn't have a chance to build my AR pistol in 300blk.

What do you guys think about this one? My next gun purchase will be an AR.

Sig makes a nice AR, but the optic is cheap. It will probably break easy, and/or might have issues holding a zero.

I purchased my Sig M400 from Walmart for several reasons. First the tools at a few of the LGSs either ignored me when I walked in, and when I was able to get them to acknowledge me they were pretty snobbish. As a customer who is wiling to drop a grand on a rifle a simple hello would be nice. I guess the color of my skin isn't the right color for some of the good ol boys in rural Georgia. At least the employees at Walmart's gun counter were polite, and I save myself over $200.00 on the rifle.

The Sig M400 is a great gun. i have two of them myself and they perform flawlessly. I have the regular M400, and the M400 Enhancedc in black with the Magpul goodies. The 1in7 twist makes it really accurate and quality of this rifle is second to none. No play at all between the upper and lower, most other makes have a little wiggle including the poorly made (as of late) Colts.

Got both of mine for under $1,000....Much cheaper than other mid level and top level AR/M4's.

This is one of my most recent purchases, A new Colt LE 901S. Waited most of last year for this baby. Got it in Nov. before everything went crazy! Got a new Nikon BDC scope made just for a 308. Tactical Link single point bungee sling, Crimson Trace modular vertical foregrip, with laser and LED light. Also have several 20 round magazine's. This is the big brother to my Colt M4 that is also tricked out. Also have several 30 round magazine's with it! :M16:
