I decided to post some pics of my truck with the 7" McGaughy lift istalled. I've noticed not many people have this lift kit so I wanted to share the pics. The truck sits level (although from the angles of the pics it appears to have some Cali lean) and it rides great. The rear is firmer than it was before due the the add a leaf but when you add some weight to the bed it rides like a Cadillac! Since these pics were taken I have removed my pinstriping and finally inserted my wheels centercaps. The trucks final measurements from the fenders are 47" in the front and 46.5" for the rear. Overall the kit was top notch and fairly easy to install.

When I bought my lift it was fairly new so they didn't have all of the variations of the kit like they do now. When I bought it the only variations were the color of powder-coating. Silver, black or blue. This summer I plan on replacing all of my shocks with the bilsteins put out by Cognito. I'm not sure the differences in the kits are now days but the shocks that came with my kit are cheap so they would be something to definitely consider upgrading if it's an option. As far as my gears go I have 3.73's. They're just fine around town and on the highway but they aren't too crazy about pulling our 25' camp trailer up some steeply inclined passes, but it does it nonetheless.

I've heard of a lot of complaints about bushings, have you had any issues?would you recommend it? I need to re-read my truck and was debating between 3.73s and 4.10s if I get a lift. Sorry for all the questions but I really want get my lift and gearing right.

I haven't really had much bushing issues related to the lift kit, in fact the kit doesn't have many bushing that come with it. Most of the bushings are what came stock on the truck. It's also hard for me to blame any issues on the lift because for the past three years here in Idaho the transportation dept. has been putting down a new liquid antifreeze agent on the roads at winter and it is corrosive as hell. I did inherit an annoying popping sound about 2 years after installing the lift but if you read through the forum you'll find its a very common occurrence with the NNBS trucks both lifted and stock. Everyone has found different solutions to the pop but I'm pretty sure mine is related to an inner tie rod which I'll be replacing with Moogs this summer. As far as your gearing I don't have much input other than my 3.73's pull my trucks 35's just fine around town and on the interstate. I have no problem doing 80 on the interstate but keep in mind I'm not lighting my tires up at every green light either. One more thing I would recommend is searching the forums for upgrading the Mcgaughys shocks to the adjustable Cognito Bilsteins. It seems to be what many folks who have had my lift for a couple years have been doing, in fact that's what I plan on doing this summer. Front and rear. Hope that helps. I will say my angles are good and the tire shop had no problems getting me aligned and keeping it that way.

I truly appreciate your advice bro. Your truck looks so amazing I fell in love with it on the mchgaughys website. I been looking for the owner for a while now I'm glad I found you cause I wanted to ask you all these things my self. So would you go 4.10s if you had a chance or stick with the 3.73s?
