Tuff Country 4" lift for 2008 GMC 1500

I just became a member today and have been looking all through the forums and haven't noticed anybody mentioning this particular lift kit. If I have over looked a thread about it I apologize but I was wondering if anybody has used this kit or knows somebody that has used this kit ? I currently have a CCM 2" level kit and factory 17" wheels and tires and I am looking to upgrade to 18" wheels and tires so I am thinking about getting this particular kit so I can get more clearance for more tire. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

The install instructions make the kit look pretty much like the Rough Country 3.5 kit... I am sure you will read plenty about that kit...

Note: Looking closer, the Tuff Country has a new 3" block, where the Rough Country has a 1.5" block you stack...

keep the level kit and add a 1.5 body lift and avoid all future massive headache

Well i have since looked into the Rough Country 4.75" suspension/body lift combo and I am thinking I am leaning more towards that direction. Any advice, comments, likes, or dislikes with that particular lift ? Thanks in advance

just do the rough country 5" full suspension kit. avoid that tuff country pos, avoid the rough country 3.5 kit that is similar, they are notorious for problems

I've read up on the posts about the RC kit and I believe I will be wise and take everybody's advice. Probably going to just leave the level kit on and put on a 1.5" body lift. Thanks for the help guys

Definitely looks good . Like I said I currently have a CCM 2" level kit on the front so I am going to get the 1.25" body lift so mine should look the same. I still haven't decided 100% on whether I'm going with a 18X9 wheel with 305/60/18 tire or a 20X9 wheel with 295/55/20 tire though.
