If you guys are anything like myself, you're bound to have vehicles that have come and gone along the path to getting the one you're driving now. I thought this would be a fun idea to show what vehicles you've had before your current one, just to see if your tastes have stayed the same or if they're completely different than what they used to be. I'll start off with the progression of vehicles I've had to get me to where I am now.

My first truck that served as the truck that got me to and from high school and college. It had a few different looks along the way, but this is how it ultimately ended up. Won several shows, made a few DVD's, and was featured in Mini Truckin' not too long ago for the current owners....

While building this truck had this to DD back and forth to work/school...

I traded the GMC in on this truck that was 100% stock down to the non-tinted windows....

I then decided I wanted something fast but roomy, so I traded the Chevy for the TBSS...

I then realized fast cost too much and driving around a 12 second TBSS wasn't too fun on the wallet, so traded this in on the truck I have now...

Chris that is an awesome collection of vehicles. I'd have to say I'm loving the '06 or '07 lifted classic you had. What were the specs on it because that is the exact route I'd like to take on mine in the future.

Thanks man! The truck was an '05 2wd with the '06 front. Suspension was pretty simple with 3" Rough Country spindles and a coil spacer up front and a 3" bodylift on top of that. Wheels and tires were 20x10" MB Motoring Gunner 6's with 285/55 Dune Grapplers. It didn't take me long to start missing this truck as you can tell by my current truck!

First truck:

F150.jpg

1988 F150. Got it when I was 16 (2000/2001, I don't really remember exactly when I got it, just winter that year). Bare bones. 302, 4x4, 5-speed. 80s all-blue interior with a vinyl bench that made me give up wearing shorts because in the summer you'd lose a layer of skin on hot days. Came with the winch from a previous owner.

1998 Jimmy

Bought in right before high school graduation in 2003. SLT trim so it had all sorts of nice stuff inside. I added a new deck and my CB. Only kept it like a year and a half to get me through school in Connecticut as toward the end the tranny was starting to go and I just didn't want to deal with it.

2003 Silverado

Bought in October of 2004. First truck I really got into modding heavily-ish. Had intake, exhaust and a Diablosport programmer. Did a new deck and speakers too this time (no subs, idiots with pounding bass piss me off). 4.8, automatic, 4x4. I wasn't overly thrilled with this truck as time went on honestly as the interior was just awful with rattles and squeaks and once it hit like 60k miles it seemed like once a month I was replacing something. Left a bad taste in my mouth for GM so then I went to the dark side:

Seems I didn't keep many pics of this one. First new vehicle. I really liked the truck but the service from the dealers was horrible and both times I brought it in it was for minor concerns they just handled poorly. After I was unable to get help from Toyota customer service I told them they lost a customer for life and I set about looking for something new. I figured I'd try something a little speedy for once-

2010 Legacy GT:

Fun car. AWD, 6-speed manual, 265 HP from a tubo H4. But I missed having a truck.

2011 Silverado

Had it a little over a year and 21k miles. Been happy with it. dB exhaust, tow mirrors, Extang Solid Fold tonneau and the OGM-1 navigation system.
