What did you do with your truck/shop today

Soo... a center support bearing did nothing to the horrible rear end clank/clunk. Now I'm pretty sure it's something in the axle/differential but I won't be touching it. I'll be contacting the shop in Phoenix that took care of the transmission back in 2011.

'

Basically it looks and sounds like something is broken inside and the whole rear end shudders.

I just liberated 5 qts and 20 oz of oil from the engine. Over 6 months. I was above the 3rd hole on the stick. I did add a quarts a little over a month ago. Never measured, said low level and i just threw in a quart because i was in a bad neighborhood

I think it may be leaking it somewhere. I lose a hair over a quart on my normal intervals of 5 months. I went over 6 this time. I also didnt check it when it said low oil. I just added

Doesn't sound too bad. Mine uses less than a quart every 4000 miles. I'm pretty sure mine is burning it off. I've had a few trucks do this after changing brands of oil, so I'm interested in seeing if it stops after the 3rd or 4th oil change. Edited by Daryl Z71

Thats why i cleaned the engine bay, trying to rule out places it leaks from

On the 2010 I run 18,000 mile oil change intervals. Sometimes oil gets changed twice a month. I don't add oil between changes. Truck holds 12.5 quarts with added Bypass filter.

Any particular oil and weight or just whatever's on sale at the time? Which filter do yo prefer as well.

Sold my 2006 to carmax. Easy and no hassle affair. I miss that noise maker already. Driving my 09 all over the place running errands, bank, dmv, insurance, and now at urgent care. Insurance for the 09 is going up $80 since I lost the multifaceted discount. Time to start shopping for insurance.

How close to kbb private party? I got PP for both of my last two trade ins at dealer.( And I paid WELL below invoice for both the new cars before anyone asks)

Jealous! That is a big time stress reliever, just beautiful.

All I caught was a sunburn but had a great time. I haven't been fishing in 30 years so I'm pretty green at it. The pic was taken on the Owens River near Lone Pine, Ca. East side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. A little further North is Mammoth Mountain where the missus and I will be dragging our trailer this Summer to camp under some pine trees.
