My drivers seat does not go up or down another issue I need to fix

Ryan

Everyone was so happy when GM started making "higher quality" interiors. I was one of the first to jump for joy, my 87 3 series BMW was nicer with 285k miles inside than the 98 Intrigue I replaced it with, and those cars were engineered 15 years apart(e30 released in 83, intrigue released in 98).

We had no idea the "crappy" interiors were actually so much more durable. Our old 90 1500, looked like it was built by Fisher price inside but everything worked when it was sold a few years ago! Why can't they figure out how to make something that looks great AND works great for a long time?

Definitely Fisher-Price!

But, you're absolutely right - never had one issue with the gauges, buttons, or lights. The dash only started to crack if parked in the sun daily for 10 years.

I think the hit rock bottom and values are starting to climb in good condition. Hoping to find a grandpa owned low mileage one someday. With all the bolt ons the TBI 350s are torque monsters, I remember I could easily beat a buddy's 5.3 off the line all day long. After that he blew me away but he could never get over how my old truck took off at a light. Edited by SnakeEyes

Yeah, that was my '94 - I could smoke just about anything stoplight to stoplight. That thing got out of the hole so fast it would snap your head back, lol. I loved blowing the doors off brand new $80k luxury cars commuting home from work. They never caught me before their lane dropped. :D
