A nice drive for a belated anniversary dinner, and I called to schedule an appointment to get the Android Auto update.

Next up for me is the summer wheels and brake fluid flush. Still on the OEM fluid ... only 85k miles, but, on year 9 this month. Slackin', big time ...

Was going to do braided steel lines, but the thing feels pretty good stock - gonna leave it be and spend the money on more useful things. Saves me some work in the process.

Starting to smell rotten egg exhaust, and the computer is locked up - can't access any PIDs. Going to wait until I get a sticker before I disconnect the battery, & see if that fixes the magic box. Gotta love it!

I have the rotten egg smell with my truck sometimes too. Makes me think I need new converters even more.

Finished adding deadener to the door panel, and reinstalled it. Just need to go for a ride now to see if the wind noise has gone away.

Dude you still have two huge holes in it, of course it's noisy...lol

Seriously, looks good, hope it helps. In my case I think between the doors possibly being tweaked and 16 year old seals, the truck always sounds like a window is open.

Haha! The wind noise was coming from the window itself. I sealed it shut yesterday so that's why I said about going for a ride to see if it went away.

Daryl, get the 2006 OEM 17's!

I don't like those ones. They don't have the right offset to get them out even with the fender flares. They look stupid stock because they stick in so far under the truck. On top of that the coating is garbage. Two winters here and the clear coat will be coming off.

Decided to start polishing my wheels. Now I remember how much I hate doing it. Maybe I'll get a different set of wheels and sell these ones...

Tell you what, they look damn good though polished up! That's how it was with my first set of aftermarkets, polished aluminum Mickey Thompson classic 2's. Got dull from cleaning after 6 months or so but once I hit them with some mothers mag polish they shined like a diamond in a goats ass!

Lol! They do look good cleaned up. The coating on them seems like it's really durable, and thick. Not one chip on any of them.

Got around to replacing my rear shocks. Not horrible but still not super simple either. They were both flat & not doing anything but taking up space. New shocks are sooooo much better for the ride of the truck.

Also after rerouting that wire bundle from earlier I found out my parking brake fully works now. Helps a lot to not having wires keeping the peddle from going far enough down.
