What did you do with your truck/shop today

I have a pekingese, a bit of a mutant. She's about a third bigger than the average but a full blood. She has literally run off two different Black Labs that dared venture into her domain

Mine is a Jack-Chi. Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix

Calling all trucks.

Is that a wear out part or just a metal plate? they don't come with busings, just the seat

I guess I could just only replace the spring pads/seat.

You can check with MS3Dale, he should be able to help you out with part numbers and compatibility.

I have located a transfer case for the truck. I had to work this weekend but on my next days off I will hopefully have the time to take out the old case and get it swapped out for the "new" case.

So, opinions, 125k miles, think I should replace the Z55 shocks now? There HAS to be degradation, and I doubt they will last a lot longer.

I finally got all the correct PNs.

There are, no joke, 5 different auto ride/z55 strut PNs, devided up from about 50 rpo codes, the last two rpos on your sticker. Mine are 6lp and 7lp

There are three rear auto ride shock PNs.

Looking at $1100 for struts and shocks, front mounts, front seats, front insulators.

That's pricey... But I know my Z71 shocks were done around 100k... And they're a lot simpler.

Yeah, but if I had a sudden failure of shocks the compressor can burn out trying to keep them filled whiledrivinf around in the time waiting for replacements. Read of people having to replace under 120k miles for leaks, I'm at 125k, so....

I know theyvare original because the part numbers on them read "unknown" on gm parts sites and ACDelco cross reference webpage

The mass of codes is for this reason: 6lp and 7lp are spring codes, I read, if true, GM had a program that looked at options and drivetrain and figured a vehicle with ______ options and drivetrain needed xxx springs that were within a certain range to get the designed suspension performance for that vehicle and weight distribution

So, when the thing comes down the line they know exacly what springs to install with a glance of rpo/build sheet

I'm going to do a write up on figuring out what someone with Z55 needs since there is no guide to it. And its EASY to order the wrong part if you don't VIN check the part, and dealers dontvlike giving a PN so you have to buy from them
