What did you do with your truck/shop today

Chris aren't you doing a 4 link in the rear as well? Ford 9"?? [emoji3]

No 4 link yet. From what i see, if im not doing air, it will need to be custom. I have been devating a quick change 9"

I would definitely go whipple or tvs rotors over the ole waffle maker. At least the meth will help you out with heat. But the transmission swap will be totally worth it. Sounds like a fun build.

Whipple will happen if i get the right deal. I still need it to pass emissions. The TVS will not pass.

Edelbrock eforce arent available for that vintage truck? Those are 2300s and legal.

They list it, last i checked they hadnt finalized tuning. And they cost more than a whipple. Im not made of money. These are long term plans. I will have a face to face with whipple on the 7th and 8th though. I would like one just dont want to pay almost 8k for one.

lol I spilled a cup of coffee all over today. Luckily most of it stayed in the cup holders but the rest was caught in the floor mats. Although I did notice a stain on the bottom of the center seat.

She's dirty as hell and I haven't paid any attention to her lately.

Go to 3.73's and you can get 11mpg city! lol

15mpg average with mixed spirited city/highway. I think I can get upper teens all highway.

LOL. Already have the 3.73s, and typically do get 11...I really enjoy the extra umph of the 6.0. However once I get the coolant flushed and get a new thermostat I think it'll get better. Currently the previous owner has the green stuff in there and I think the thermostat is stuck partly open. It doesn't always come up to full temp, especially in colder temps.

My Tahoe with 3.73s, headers, FIPK, tune, throttle body, and 80% of a aftermarket exhaust(one OE cat left) gets right at 14 mpg probably 50/50 driving

Maybe I should do something about that last cat before too long. I doubt it will last too long being the only one left on a system that had three.

You might actually have DEX in there. FOund that out on my wife's car. It got wrecked in the front, and needed a radiator. Once I picked it up, I checked the fluid and noticed it was green, not orange. Asked them about it, and they said it was a different brand DEX compliant alternative. I haven't had any issues with mine though.

My truck (I looked up my RPO codes, and ours are identical, except CHEVY vs GMC), runs just under 210F everyday, even in 10 below or 120 above!
