What did you do with your truck/shop today

I've not done the inner tie rods before but the outer tie rods are just like what we have at work. It seriously takes me longer to get my tools out of the toolbox as it does to change the outers.

I think I might change the outer ones while I'm doing it. Then I'll know I won't have any problems with tie rods for a while. Edited by Daryl Z71

Only makes sense. Might as well do your pitman and idler arms if not done, and I highly recommend the cogntio steering support kit. Really helped tighten up my steering. Now I know I had 35's and it tightened it up, I bet it would be nice on a stock truck

Was thinking about that too, but I'm not sure if I have the funds for all that right now. My current tires keep going flat after a week or so, and I need to get the bad parts replaced so I can get an alignment, and put the new tires on. Seems like it's going to be a bad winter so I really need to get my new tires on. I could also use a borgeson steering shaft, mine is pretty clunky...

Where'd you get the steering support at?

I do have to say though driving this thing in the snow after driving the Cruze last winter after trading the 2011 Silverado, I had forgotten how good these trucks really go.

This is just a link to the kit, I do not remember if I bought it through Cognito or one of their suppliers

Actually I'll probably get weathertech mats and an under seat organizer. Level kit is possible but not for certain. Intake and a nice exhaust will be in the future and quite possibly a BB tune. That's pretty much stock, right!? [emoji23]

EDIT: clearly I don't have an auxiliary trans cooler cause Temps were around 195 in 50 degree weather. That is the first investment I am making, and probably in the next week!

I thought the V8s all had the cooler. The six speeds run hotter in these trucks. Every one I've driven (5 now) ran hot trans temps.

I just ordered 2 pairs of osram night breakers unlimited in the stock 9006 fitments. My dad could use new bulbs on his '06 too.

I went down the relatively conservative route but I think its for the best given my application.

And in the meantime I will clean up the lenses with some good old toothpaste.

I think I asked before, but where do we order those gm-trucks stickers? I'll rep it on my new truck [emoji106]

And I finally did a 4 hi mod on my 02. Can't believe I've put it off so long and it took 5 min. Get me a set of 9005 5000k HID'S to put in and I'm sure it will really light up the night
