What did you do with your truck/shop today

I installed it correctly. Followed the instructions in the box. Still drives fine and it doesn't have play in the joint but when I hit speeds of 70+ I get a loud, fast clunk like sound that is continuous. It may not be coming from the joint but it does need to be eliminated. Going to dealer after work to pick up Spicer ujoint.

Right now you can actually move the shaft left of right because there is also the tcase slap so I'm guessing the shaft speed is just throwing it around down there. Seems like something dangerous could come from it

Got my corvette servo installed last night. It was pretty slick except I had a heck of a time trying to get the cover snap ring back in. Finally realized the cover wasn't fully pressed into the housing. Well that and the inner most spring didn't seem to want to stay put. Felt like Adam Sandler on Happy Gilmore...just get into your home...don't you like your home? lol

Took it for a test drive...my kind of test drive, part throttle accel, full throttle accel, oh yeah, she's good. The wife will never want to drive the truck now. She already thought my truck shifted hard, now she'll down right hate it probably. I think I would still like to get the billet 4th servo. The 1-2-3 shifts are awesome but when it goes into OD it's still kind of weak for my liking.

I don't know if will work on a hard part change, but when I do a tune (hand held) I pull all the TM out for a nice hit under part throttle. If want to lessen the hit and max RPM under full throttle I hit the tow haul button, if the wife is along for the ride. That drops it to 5500 RPM from 6000 RPM and calms down the shift.

Cleaned off my wheels

This mess and rampant corrosion brought to you by EBC "low dust" brakes. About 400 miles since last cleaning.

I had the EBC green stuff pads all they way around and the dust was rediculous. I went back to Wagner thermoquiet pads when I changed them a couple months ago. Far less dust and yet the stopping power is about the same. Plus they are available locally and just as expensive. Should last longer too

I'm going to get the AC Delco ceramics. They aren't too expensive and they won't dust.

I went with Wagner Semi-Metallic for the front, and I'll probably get Powerslot slotted rotors. Everyone seem to like Wagner.

Why semi metallic? more dust than ceramic and OE is ceramic

From what I read semi metallic works better for stopping. Ceramic takes time to heat up, and stop you quick, and they hold heat longer which is harder on rotors. They claim ceramic is worse for rotors in every way compared to semi metallic.
