What did you do with your truck/shop today

Last night I installed four new Bilstein 4600's

So far I can't notice a massive difference although i have just driven about 40 miles.

The rears were a breeze but I had more trouble getting started with the front right. I finally clamped on a pair of vice grips and off we went. I'd say it took me about 3 hours including finding tools and complete clean up, and I tried to be as thorough as possible by double checking everything.

The worst shock was the front right which was leaking a lot, it was coated in dirt/oil. And the front left was more compressed them the other so that's a sign of that it wasnt working well even without any load on it.

Sounds like fun. I'll be ordering mine for the front tomorrow. I think I'm going with the 4600's too.

Yeah it was fun, I didn't mind. And I did it at my parents place so I got to use their garage with light, I worked until 9:30.

What made the fronts so difficult is that you have the ac line on the passenger side and some electrical cables on the drivers, and the shock towers are so far down.

And for normal use the 4600's are more than enough, especially at our mileage. I'm at 222,700!

I had a friend with a 98 frontier that asked me to look at his truck because he thought something looked wrong. The bottom half of a rear shock was GONE. All that was left was the bolt . I almost flipped. He said it hadn't been riding well for a while. He was tight on cash but I convinced him there was no way around it, he needed new shocks the day before (at least). I put them on for him and he said it rode like when he first bought it, braking was worlds better also. He couldn't believe how bad they had got. I told him I couldn't believe he was alive for letting his truck get so bad!

Picked up 8 new toilets from Costco which were on sale. Little surprised when I did the math, I was hauling over 900Lbs of shitters.

Sent from Windows Phone.

The better question is what are you doing with 8 new shitters? You must be a plumber

Lol. Actually a buddy saw the sale for the double flush model with a 6 litre tank so we bought enough to do his house, a second friends house and my own. Now we just need to install them. I regret not taking a pic it would have been cool to post on this thread.

Costco, where you buy in bulk just because it's cheap and who doesn't need 8 toilets? Lol

Yup, that place is dangerous. I try to avoid it because I always end up dropping 3bills every visit and then wonder what I bought and why. The toilets though were planned in advance.

My father in law shops there all the time. We are on his membership. When he bought his new house 2 yrs ago he bought everything (appliances tv etc). Ended up being a VIP gold member. We were treated like royalty when we checked out pretty funny.

Got new bump stops for the rear axle. They're not OEM but there at least something. The old one rotted away over a year ago but I didn't worry about it until I moved to a dirt road and I'm hauling stuff constantly. Had my truck scanned again for the "Service Air Bag" message and the light was on this time...still no codes, must be the scanner...dang! I guess I will have to go to the dealer as I doubt any of the shops around here have a scanner that can capture air bag error codes.
