What did you do with your truck/shop today

I got under my pickup, pulled off the old evap canister, decided it was too freaking hot and went inside.

 

Would anyone like a write-up on replacing the solenoid? Commonly causes 446 and 449 I believe.

 

I wouldn't mind one. I have one of those two codes right now I think.

I took a few pictures, I don't think a how-to is really necessary since it's pretty simple. Most of it is just deciding where to run the hose and filter on the new one.

That'll work.

 

Used the truck to move the relatives pontoon boat so I could mow where it was sitting.

Wasnt that one a 4.8?

 

Yeah it was a 4.8, wasn't powerful at all and wasn't fun to tow with but it was a fun truck to drive and was very reliable... I miss having a truck that I'm not afraid to scratch or go off-road with haha

I was originally going to go with a class 3, but this class 4 was only $28 more than the class 3. I've read people on here talking about hearing of the factory hitch failing, and mine is so corroded that I figured it would just be best to pitch it, and upgrade. All the more I'll ever tow this class 4 will be plenty enough for me.
