What did you do with your truck/shop today

Flurries here - seem to have stopped already.

At least it's finally trending warmer. No more below zero, single digits, teens or twenties. We'll be seeing the 60's in about 4 weeks, hopefully sooner.

Got my exhaust aligned to where I'm not melting box protectors off anymore, and the hangers are staying put where they should. The rear hanger is further back just a bit, and the post muffler ones are a tad forward, but I think that's because the pipes behind the muffler are a tad too long. I just have a problem cutting a $1000 system up, and it seals nicely for now. I like how the pipes look on exit now too, so I'm leaving it alone.

My new wheels should be here Thursday, so I likely will have those installed Friday or Saturday morning, depending on what my schedule looks like. Then no more Plains tire ever again. Feel free to remind me.

Got front brake pads en route. The rears have plenty of life left, but they are starting to squeak, and the pedal travel has increased. The rotors look great, so I'll leave them be for now.

Got driveline fluids coming too, as part of my maximum overkill maintenance I'll be changing the trans fluid, diff fluids, and transfer case fluids at 70K.

Clyde is up to 66,304 miles and runs great as always. Life is good. :chevy:

Holy crap, those are huge! Didn't think they'd fit. My summers are 275/55-20 - just about the same circumference as the stock 265/65-18, plus 1%. Still got a couple weeks before I'll feel comfortable putting mine on. Weather happens quick around here. Can be 70° one day, and 20° the next.

Had to use the ol' girl to yank out my s10 plow truck from a couple feet of mud the other day. She went sideways and slid right into the freshly filled culvert, so it bored a hole in the ground pretty easy.  Was trying to push the snow I had plowed up against the pile of dirt there, so we can level it all out with the neighbor's tractor. I had to crawl out of the passenger side door - the driver's door was completely blocked. Yanked her out like nothing in 4-low - engine was just above idle. The Blizzaks bit in to the gravel nice - only spun about 1 turn in the beginning. Tore part of the rocker panel off, lol - was a patch panel that had rotted away anyway.

Didn't feel like running into the house to get the good camera, so all I've got is crap cell phone pics. Plow truck left a trail of mud a 1/4 mile up the street, and is still dropping mud patties out of the wheel wells and undercarriage ... :

The pics don't do the tires much justice. Looks much better in person. There the same diameter as my old 275 55 20 's just wider.  Ya the weather turns quick around here too. But couldn't wait anymore. So far so good here just cool and no more snow in the forecast and it's all melted too.  Your plow truck needs a good power wash and your all good. LoL

That's what I meant - almost 8" wider. Figured they'd rub in the wheel wells somewhere. Surprised they fit. That's great!

The rain will eventually clean it up. Still running the same oil from 2016 in that one. I don't make much of an effort to take care of her. She's a beater in every sense. :D

I'm gonna go a head and assume that's a typo...

Ahh, yep! No "R" on the end of "wide" ... and I believe that was supposed to be 11" rather than 8.

11.61" to be exact. Pretty fat.

Been one of those weeks!

Installed the Dynapro's on the summer wheels, and swapped them onto the truck. Quite happy, the ride great. I went with the stock size as I won't be levelling the truck, more likely I'll leave the suspension alone and do a few cosmetic and performance mods, and that's about it with this truck. I'm very happy with the truck as it is.

Meaty tires. Look like they'd be great off road & in snow. Good lookin' ones too.

Not too meaty. They are quiet and smooth on road. These will never see snow, so I'll never know what they are like in that condition. I just didn't like the stock GoodYear Eagle's they didn't perform well in wet conditions.

Definitely not a mud tire, but better than the glorified car tires they come with most of the time.

Loaded up our $$ recycles (cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, & glass), trying to get to the recycling center before they closed today.  Should have woken up sooner. Oh well, ready for Monday. Bed is full, front to tailgate, wall to wall, floor to tonneau cover, just about every cubic inch.  Looking to be about $80.
