Not sure if being the talk of the horse show is a good thing b/c they may have been laughing at you. I guess if you like it that's all that matters though...

Whats wrong with his truck? Not every truck has to be lifted and debadged to look nice you know...

I'll be nice and say it just isn't my style... There's a difference in being tastefully done and being overdone, and this truck is a little too overdone IMO. Like I said though, if he likes it more power to him, but I jus tknow something like that is bound to get a few laughs every now and then.

Dragged myself out of bed today with a bad sinus infection... to answer a few things, if you like your truck plain and boring thats cool, if you think mine is overdone thats your opinion and thats fine. It's not for everyone. I think its tastefully done, its not a chromed out jcwhitney special lol. Everything was done and blends from outside to inside. From the horse show, when everyone was looking or talking, they was saying how cool the truck and trailer were. MY truck has never been laughed at cflub, I get kudos where ever I go, almost on a daily basis. Thumbs up, + comments, pics with cellphones etc. Had a bunch of horse people at that show saying how cool, neat etc it was as they walked by. I also have a bunch of car tropheys from car shows too. To answer BlackZ71 in regards to the horse trailer, there was crud on top, first thing was to scrape any loose rust/paint off, then power wash, anti rust primer where needed. Then about 3 coats of gloss orange paint. It still needs another coat on the sides of the roof yet. We also gave a fresh coat of white inside with orange trim. Now going back to bed before I collapse.

I appreciate you pulling yourself from your deathbed to respond to my post. Just like you said, you prefer your trucks to have flair, I like mine to look like something GM would put out of the factory as a special package and if you consider that plain then so be it. I probably get just as many nods and thumbs up as yours but from a different crowd I'm sure. As far as trophies from truck shows, I've been there and done that as well as been featured on DVD's and magazines so $10 plastic does nothing for me. I've got more than I can count from national shows not local high school shows where everyone gets a trophy. I think its just best to say we can agree to not like each others trucks and move on and if your feelngs get hurt over it maybe you shouldn't post pictures on the web for others to criticize or critique.

I reluctantly edited two posts in this thread, trying to bring things back in line. Let's give this another shot. Please stay on topic.

While I could never pull off bright orange, I do think it looks pretty bad-ass. :cold:

The trailer matching the tow vehicle looks good..Doesn't look out of place being the same color.

If that's not your style that's fine. It could be worse though. He could have removed all the black from the truck and painted everything the same color, even the plastic on the tailgats and rear bumpers.......... Now that would be over done. :dunno:
