how does the plasti-dip work? Did you remove your badges? I would like to do something similar with my SS badges on my camaro

Plasti-Dip is some pretty cool stuff. If you buy the spray, it sprays on like spray paint but is removable. If you don't like it or whatever it just peels back off. It leaves a rubbery finish when dried.

The best resource I have found on technique and how to plasti-dip is www.dipyourcar.com.

For my application, I washed the emblems and let them dry really well. Then I masked off the area around each emblem about an inch away (see below photos). I sprayed 4 coats of plasti-dip on each emblem varying the angle of spray to make sure I got all surfaces. Waited 15 minutes between coats and 30 minutes after the final coat. To remove, the letters of the emblems cut the plasti-dip so you just pull off the excess as that is what it is designed to do. I learned after the first one to pull the excess out from the emblem before trying to remove it away from the truck....hope that makes sense. Anyway, if you don't like it, just pull it off and remove it.
